Thanks for the review, its the first one i have seen for the district pro. It was enough to get me to order one from mystery ranch.

Velcro noise acts as an anti-theft feature. Similar to their Street Zen model.

Thank you for the review. I hope they use zipper, magnets, or even snap buttons instead of velcro. In my opinion, bag should last over ten years, but the lifespan of velcro is very poor. from my experience, if hook and loop are used frequently like this, then it will lose its strength pretty quick. I understand that bag companies often use velcro for some part (inside, or for patch attachment) of their bag, but not sure what leads some of the bag companies to use velcro for major functionality parts like opening and closing, especially when they are noisy and not glad to use. Maybe cutting cost will be the major reason?

District Pro -- Not really a fan of that front pocket. The velcro is not office friendly. That flap would annoy me. The side button/side zipper opening on that pocket looks like stuff falling out to me. I think a top zipper drop pocket with no flap would have been better. A large unzippered drop pocket on the backside to stash the shoulder strap would have been good too. I also generally prefer to have a separate laptop compartment where possible just to better protect the electronics from the other stuff in the main compartment. Otherwise, it looks a pretty good bag and something I would try out. Thanks for the review.
