I've carried my Terraframe 50 for SEVERAL HUNDREDS of miles; usual loadout is around 40 pounds - give or take. Absolutely THE MOST COMFORTABLE (and TOTALLY adjustable) suspension system I have ever used on a backpack. My one piece of advice is pick the size you THINK you need, then go UP to the next size! I've wished several times I had chosen the 65-liter version for the EXTRA ROOM!

Alternatively, get the Hunting daypack lid which is 12L and add that onto the Overload to bump it up to 62L if you like the design of the Terraframe 50 better than the Terraframe 65

Dear prepmedic...can you make a video only for a complete first aid kit for wilderness?

I'm a Mystery Ranch fiend. I'm up to 5 of them now. I've been trying to get back into SAR volunteer work and for that, I'd use my MR Coulee 40 which is perfect.

I’ve used mystery ranch in the military and now as a SAR team member as well. I have the Terraframe 65 and I love it. Especially when you have to carry a subject’s gear on top of climbing gear, medical supplies, etc.

The Terraframe 65 is my current daily-driver SAR pack and it’s been fantastic.

I have the MR Sawtooth 45 for SAR missions. It's a little smaller than the Teraframe, but it does have the same overload feature and more internal pockets.

Hope you make an update video on the Vertx Highlander pack you reviewed about a year ago. I bought one based on that review and been using it for hiking and camping. Even used it for a mountain bike trip recently and it worked pretty good even though it's a pretty big bag to use while riding but I was able to carry plenty of gear without it getting too uncomfortable. I'm sure a lot of us are still interested in seeing how you built it out as some sort of specialty pack like you mentioned in the video.

That seems to be a great solution also for army medics. I always had the problem with my load out, that I need my personal gear (rain jacket, warm weather jacket, food, water, etc) and also my medic back pack. I recently switched to a TT MKII move on, putting all medical stuff in the main backpack and using the outer back pack for my personal stuff. But when you expect rapid temperature/weather changes, it does not offer enough space. Seems like this back pack could be the solution. PS: If any army medic (or someone with similar experience) is in this comment section: How do you transport all your medical stuff and still have your personal crap with you?

We generally carry much more than we actually need 'just in case' . It is surprising how much space you will free up if you only take what you need. I know this is difficult to do!

I didn't know MR did this style pack in non-hunting/mil flavor. I was just about to order an Exo k4 but I'll have to look into this to see if I can save money without losing much in capability.

Hello Sam. Hope you are great, bro. Have you heard about MultiNix??? It's a medical multitool. It may be worthy of a review.

I own the military version the overload pack. But it uses the nice frame with lower load lifters unlike urs that are raised up. I think the terra frame like urs is more comfortable. The nice frame does not seem to carry weight well for me. I might be trying the pack like urs. Is the green version different? I didn't see ur top straps like the green one shows in the pics.?

Well....this Terraframe is 100% a copy of an Exo pack!!! These types of packs have been in use by serious hunters for a long time. I use mystery ranch for my fire packs.....and they are ok. Exo is top shelf... Mystery Ranch is middle shelf....in terms of quality and stability. I'm kinda disappointed that Mystery Ranch wanted to copy Exo so badly.....I hope they held to the same standard that Exo has. Exo packs are the top of the line packs in this category. I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
