This has to be one of the most powerful pairings of unrelated music and video. Everything starts and stops at just the right place, and it makes something new that carries a lot of emotional weight. I'm pretty sure I watched this around 20 times when I first came across it and had a really wild dream reflecting the tone. Kinda don't wanna watch GANTZ now. I don't want to give the scene any context. I just want it to be this.
I don't know about Gantz, but for Back to Life the movie in the music video is about reincarnation or something. They're all far more thoughtful than they seem.
I had this at first too but I watched the Gantz movies and this fight is still fucking awesome. Didn't ruin the music video for me, and now I know how the fight ends.
This sounds like something from his original EP but with it you can hear a clear refinement and all of his experience up to this point in this piece. It’s truly enchanting and the sounds blend to take your mind on a ride full of poppy electronic beats, and the vocals tie it all together. This is artistic audio stimuli at its finest
This song paired with this movie snippet was what made me fall in love with the Gantz saga. I never heard of it, had not imagined anything as epic as the manga or film series...I am very happy for seeing this video ❤️❤️❤️
I feel it flies to far under the radar how good a pick it is that to have the music video as gantz. the flow of the song matches perfectly with the series. it start up slow and calm build to a climax and then ends almost at calmly as it starts, just like how in the series the people in black suits are called into a waiting room, then released into an area for a hunt against a terrible alien threat that's usually pretty gruesome before being brought back to the calm of the waiting room. the pairing is perfect
With lyrics like every day is beautiful and make you remember, it could be a flashback about how the dog went from a deity to a common housepet. The dog didn't even remember why he had a human owner when the flower demon asked him about it.
It is! “Everything” was the original name of it when he posted it on patreon nearly a year ago, so that’s why the edit I made for it was under the name “Everything” as well
I love Mystery so much it never even occurred to me that unpopularity was a possible thing... And I've arbitrarily decided with no knowledge of facts to support my assertion, that your crazy and Mystery Skulls is wonderful.
It is the finished version of “Everything”, he added new lyrics to it and slightly tweaked the instrumentals. This is technically the full release as “Everything” was just a demo on his patreon that he let me edit and make a video for, which is most likely where you saw the song to begin with.
Its the Live-action movie of a manga called Gantz Basically, people who die are given a second chance by this mysterious orb, but they have to fight aliens every week in order to stay alive
Holy shit Luiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis! Been rocking with him since the days of elecro-band tours (yikes!). First time I heard "Wanted You" from TSH, I knew this dude was on something different. Great art all around.
Does anyone know what the footage is from? I feel like it can't be original to this seeing as Mystery Skulls is like, an underground internet funk band. No way they could afford a music video like this. What's the footage origin?
@@kriskritical6458 A fucking weird anime/manga series, to clarify. But it is actually pretty good. And there's a surprisingly decent Netflix adaption too.
Man this is such a mystery skulls vibe I was craving for oh such eargasm Thanks for the info guys. I've never watched live action film but the action looks pretty solid and impressive
