Hi Willie, I loved this video. You caught some really huge bluegills this time. I've never seen bluegills that huge. Those crappie weren't bad either. I'd say those baits are worth having, except that 3" one. Who knows. It may be great some other lake. I couldn't believe that you caught that one fish by its fin. Howdy Skye!! I was pleasantly surprised at the fish produced by those boxes. I usually NEVER give those boxes a second thought but my kids bought them for me for Christmas so I thought, why not give it a try. So, definitely surprised at the outcome. I'm ending my MTB subscription for Panfish/Trout later this year. Like you noted early on in the vid there's gimmick baits that I wouldn't throw, or even consider buying. Great vid and catches.

Yes, I’ve talked with a lot of people in the past several years who did the same (cut ties with MTB) simply because what they received in the box was more of a promotion for what ever useless lure it may have been than an actual useable one. However, I have to say, MTB was a very well thought out business idea and the work that went into it would have to have been very involved. From the creation of the boxes to calling all the different tackle related companies and then promotion. I have nothing against what they created from a business standpoint, it’s just not for me. 🤠I like to shop, I love to see what I believe might work and give it a fling. I wouldn’t have ever had the two boxes I had l, if it hadn’t been for my children giving them to me as gifts, which is another big selling point. Fortunately, those two boxes “did” have decent, useful contents that did produce some good fish… who knew 😂. Win some, lose some..this time I won. Those were some monster fish, I keep trying your tactics in our ponds and lakes, I have yet to produce, but I'm not going to give up on it, those mystery boxes sure do come with a lot of cool stuff!
It’s a simple fact, what works in one area may not “ever” work in another. I’ve tried what I do in other places, like you, to no avail. Funny how that is. That’s why I always ask people to use the “Mepps XD” because I wanna know what it does in different areas of the country. So, how many miles did you get on this episode? Lol 😂

Hi Willie, just watched the video, it's the first time I've had my computer on in over a week. I'm sorry to say my mother and I both came down with the Covid Omicron Variant and have been pretty sick. The good news is we've just turned the corner and I believe we are starting to improve. CJ, I can’t begin to tell you how sorry i am to hear you caught that dreadful mess. My family and I went through it as well and it almost killed me. I still deal with breathing issues now. I’m very glad however you’re doing better. Please be careful and still pay attention. After I was getting better, two weeks after I had recovered, my breathing changed drastically. Long story but just be mindful that when you think it’s gone, it’s just finding another way to take you down. Now, yes the MTB reeeally surprised me for sure. Probably never buy another one but I felt like it was something I needed to explore and see what the hype was all about. Thanks once again for watching!! I appreciate it very much. 😉🎣
