I think you should mention that MTB has a few different boxes sent out each month whereas LTB sends out the same box each month. My MTB was different from yours (I got box #218). The card has the box number on the bottom.
I get lucky tackle box and my wife gets the mystery box. Her mystery tackle box other than the baby juke was completely different than yours. She tried their subscription for 3 months and felt that the it was all over the map as far as consistency and well short compare to lucky tackle box. She's either going lucky, or pilfering my boxes.
It was OK. It probably all depends on that River2Sea Diver Frog. If I can catch fish w/ that, then I'll be happy with the box. I have thrown it a couple of times and haven't gotten a bite yet, but I do plan on fishing it a few more times.
that's tough for me because I live in Denver and most of the water around me is frozen or starting to freeze, so I don't get any bass fishing in during the winter. But if I lived where I could fish in December, I would probably use a jerkbait, maybe a blade bait, a drop shot, some jigs and maybe some spoons. Hope this helps!
That's a tough call. I've had them each for about a year now and they are honestly about the same. I will say that most people that comment on these videos seem to like LTB a little bit better. Hope this helps!
only dislike i have for MTB is the different boxes and deifferent retail prices, for example last months box, some ppl got a whopper plopper which was like $17.00 and other ppl got a lil ol squarebill crankbait retailed at only like $7.99-8.99 which is soooo unfair to me lol,ive been dying for a whopper plopper so i wouldve been sooo pist if i didnt get it
I'm with ya on that. There has been several times I've been jealous of other's MTB boxes compared to the one I received! As for the Whopper Plopper, it's great and has caught me a lot of fish since I received it in the spring!
LTB had a better box again. I received the LTB Bass XL box which came with biwaa seven 4" swim bait and some bait scent. Fished the biwaa for 30 minutes and the top rubber dorsal fin is already falling apart. :(
I've probably got about 20 of those Biwaa 4" swimbaits and they just stay in storage. I've tried them several times but still haven't caught any fish on them. I tie on a Gambler Little EZ after these and will catch fish w/ those so I doubt those Biwaa swimbaits ever come out of storage. Then again, could just a confidence thing as I know I can catch fish w/ the Little (and Big) EZs, so maybe it's user error when it comes to those Biwaa swimbaits.
Hahaha, I've got quite the box of lures that I'm not a fan of. However, when I do my giveaways, I give away lures that I like and actually catch fish with. One day I'll figure out something to do w/ all those lures. Who knows, some of them probably catch fish for everyone but me!
Yep, I was able to get about an hour and a half in of fishing. Since water temps were 56-58 degrees, I went deep looking for schools of crappie/ perch to see if I could catch any big bass following/ feeding on these schools. Was able to reel in a 3lb 10oz and 4lb 7oz bass. Gonna try and get the video up tomorrow.
I've have yet to fish from the pier. When fishing from the bank there I'm usually on the East side or along the damn. I remember seeing a couple guys on the the pier as I just got there. Wasn't many people out there fishing today.
