In one of Colin furze's videos he found a crack where air was blowing out of the ground when he was digging down to build a tunnel to his bunker. I was so damn disappointed that he didn't investigate it and where the air was coming from!! To leave something like that uninvestigated would drive me crazy, to the point that uninvestigated wouldn't even be an option i could choose. You need to reach out to him and look into it, even if its for nothing more than to see if he did investigate and just didn't put it into the video.

@@cabbagememes2852 I watched the Colin video a few days ago. There isn’t a chance it’s a mine/cave large enough to explore. It is almost certainly just a crack. No way to explore without a months worth of labour digging it out.

If the culvert leads from the direction of a stream, could it have originally diverted water from that stream to a secondary location such as a garden, a village fountain, a household supply, a forge or similar? Fixing the stonework with lime seems to suggest something more permanent than a temporary drain.
@Herbybandit

If it wasn't draining to the river, could it be diverting water from the river for some purpose?

One of my subs found a mine on their property, it turned out to be coal and the lamp went out very quickly so never recorded taht one. Was flooded to the roof in a very short distance too. Wow, that method of discovery is different! Yes, as soon as I saw you stop naturally descending, knew what it was.

Very cool, I love finding stuff like this..I used to pothole up in the Yorkshire dales and remember one cave ending at a very tight unpassable sump but we were able to bail it out with a helmet just enough to stick our heads through and see a totally unexplored new bit of cave. I don't think we were the first to see it but must have been one of the first.

That was really interesting. I could've done with your HELP at some adits/workings I found in the Forest of Dean. I turned around 50 Yards-IN. as I only had 1 torch and too many dogs to have to worry about. So, within walking distance from Cinderford. Glos. town centre are some tunnels which were accessible 5 yrs ago. Definitely mines though. Some older bloke told me there were still quite a few in the area. Thanks again.

In recent weeks I have gone berserk watching your back catalog. I generally fall asleep watching so never get to comment. Whenever I'm digging , what drives me on is the hope of finding something like this. I'm still expecting to find a well under my garden shed, which used to be the Blacksmiths, in the village. Neighbours, years ago, dug into the top of an Ice cave, we reckon, in the grounds of an old Manor house near Tre r Ddol. I'm going to watch all your vids several times.

Could it be a tunnel leading into another chamber? There must be a lot of these hidden chambers, to hide elicit things from being seen by the judging public. When its a church it actually leads me to think, its either food storage, wine storage, or water supply, or drainage. Or they could be holding something more dark. Greetings, Jeff
