The Lost Ranch mine is accessible via the Bursera, Lost Ranch and Prospector trails in South Mountain Regional Park near Phoenix Arizona. It has little known history, although it may be connected to the Lost Ranch nearby. Specific details are unknown.
The mine is not closed off and is located directly on the Prospector trail, however in the video you will see that the main entrance is a tight squeeze and collapsing. Another entrance is lower down the hill but the main tunnel that used to make a right turn about 50 feet in, has collapsed. A small hole next to the collapse will gain you entry, however I do not know how far in you can go.
There are more exploratory diggings further up the steep Prospector trail, but no adits into larger workings.
Drones are not allowed at this location.
