@@Skyscraper21 I was 20 when the album came out, it doesn’t sound “different” to the contemporary ear but imo comparison to others at the time mystikal used pitch like outlast to blend with the tune in combination with the rapid tight timing you see from like tech n9ne, and blending alternating cadences like Gucci Mane. He didn’t do any singularly “new” but find someone else pre-mystikal that sounded like this on an entire album. Not to mention having the ability to actually sound like James brown when he wanted.

It’s 2022 and I just wanna say who ever decided to put Butch on that Track is an absolute fuxxin Genius it goes together soooo good with Mystkial bouncin all over the place. Dam that still sounds good till this day.

LL Cool J is dope, Heavy D was the truth and Tupac was Thug-a-licious, but THEE best rapper of all time is clearly Mystikal. He's the James Brown of the rap game. Funky and sizzlin' hot!!!
