I think that first batch caused mild reactions to Rebecca but a severe reaction to Jennifer so they had switch up the formula for Jennifer

For Jennifer they made a body suit because she had skin reactions from the make up applied. She only had her face made up. Whereas Rebecca had make up on her whole body. And yes, you are right, Rebecca was a better mystique and looked better.

mine too. Which really says something since Jennifer Lawrence is an oscar winning actress (i think). But that original cast from the first 3 movies is iconic for me. Its hard to think of anyone else in the roles.

@@jameshamilton8720 not shown on screen but due to magneto and rogue both having their powers back after taking the "cure" it would suggest it was only a temporary thing.

Yep. She was able to straight up alter her DNA. And in other versions she could give herself weapons and completely shapeshift beyond just physical appearances

Different situations and aspects, Logan is not in love with Storm, therefore he has no reason to let his guard down, according to their particular situation Logan was on the alert knowing that there was a shapeshifting mutant around, on the other hand Logan is in love with Jean, and when she approaches him, everything else disappears in front of him, furthermore their situation was also one of tranquility, a relaxing situation, no enemies are allies, therefore Logan had no reason to be on the lookout. So yes, the nose can also know it, but when he sees Jean, he doesn't care, he trusts his eyes, not his sense of smell.

As far as I know, she can only transform into other people. Only downside being that its purely cosmetic, meaning she can't mimic other mutants powers.

Only other humans and their clothes/accessories. It MIGHT be psychological and based on vision. Like Nightcrawler can only teleport to places he has seen, Mystique can only turn into a person she has seen. I gave Nightcrawler example because in some versions they’re mother and son, so their powers might be working on similar rules, but not confirmed in the movies.
