Ohhh GOD ohhh GOD! Simply awesome adorable nd amazing stupendous performance! In my over 65yrs Carnatic music listening experience of this pancha ratna kriti I have never heard this totally different vibrant style without diluting the original essence. Abundant applaudable Manodharmam! GOD BLESS GOD BLESS. Befitting support by the flautist! Commendable support by mrudangam! GOD BLESS ALL
Heard many render Endaro mahanu…..Abhishek’s rendering is simply outstanding….very lively, vibrant …..what a support by Anantha Krishnan , Shruthi Sagar….awesome…..great guys
Both Abhishek and Rahul being have spent their lives in sangeet Sadhana. They forget the world around them when they start singing. And bringing them together is a wonderful culmination of musical forms...
Wow. Thank you. Please mention the names of the accompanying musicians, though. Absolutely unfair to ignore those highly talented people. It would also be good to explain that the other singer's performance is shown in part 2.
there are 3 parts it looks like, look up "Mysuru Asthana Sangeetothsava - Hindustani Karnatic Jugalbandi Rahul Deshpande & Abhishek Raghuram 2" and 3 for jugalbandhi
Agree Abhishek sings well, but when you sell and set it up as a "Jugalbandhi", Rahul's hand (and tongue) shouldn't be tied for 27:14 wondering when it is his turn to sing ;-)
@@shankariarvind4861 Consider the following: 1. Generally, most renditions of "Endaro Mahanubhavulu" is typically under 15 minutes, but when one indulges in a 27 plus minutes of solo delineation especially when the context is a Jugalbandhi, it tantamounts to disrespect and discourtesy. 2. I know of no other Jugalbandhi performance where the 'second ' performer sits there for 27 plus minutes, wondering vapidly when it is his turn to perform... 3. It's almost like seating two guests for dinner together, but serving one of them... While the served guest burps, bellows and belches savoring the good food, the other guest watches in disgust... :( I candidly dislike such optics and acoustics... What, may I ask you, is your point of view?
Yes, I agree with you, though not as strongly as you do. Even in the second video Abhishek grabs more time than giving space to Rahul. It is jarring to see one artist overtaking the other
W.r.t this rendition, Sri. Abhishek exceeded his limits to show his capabilties in presenting sree raga pancha rathna krithi. Over polishing of a rathnan is unwanted and it is needless to mention that greatest of great artists have restricted themselves to perform like this creating unsuitable sangathies which means that they didn't have the talents. They simply performed what is applicable & palatable by avoiding the mastery of vocal capabilities they have etc.. In many of his concerts he displays his talents over and above the required level. One such krithi is Raghuvara Nannu in Panthu varali.... The flute support by Sri.Shruthi Sagar was wonderful to hear satisfying the song's concept with which it was composed by Sri Thyagaraja. Finally, where bhaavam and bhakthi are not in place and missing , that rendition is of no use.
Agreed that abhishek raghuram is the finest Carnatic musician of this age... But he is the poorest interpreter of lyrics... Literally killing the lyrics and essence of the krithi which carry a lot of meaning and depth of feel... Worst pronunciation ever... When will these musicians understand that sangeetham and sahityam are equally important as they r two eyes of Goddess Sharada Devi? God save literature 🙏
