Its not a bad thumbnail at all, but I understand from an artists persepective why you might say that. It seems somewhat faded and loud at the same time due to the faded image from a different scene behind the overlay of the other comic, maybe if you either amped up the "noise" or further minimalized the thumbnail, you might feel better about the thumbnail.
Honestly, feels like a story that would be accepted in the Boiling Isles as "realistic" literature. Some student would probably go, "HA, NICE! SHE GOT THAT HUMAN GOOD!"
Great twist, and definitely a Luz twists; Expect Vampires with the request to enter and get a face full of werewolf. Shame Luz and many others don't realize a more narrative form of essay writing is possible; Weaving the creative writing into the informative paper can be difficult at first and especially to visualize, but more people are capable of it than they realize, and Luz seems to have a lot of talent. It's not like essays of those types have no precedent; Some of the most impactful short non-fiction writings of the early 19th and 20th centuries could be described in such a way, as with much satire.
If I was a teacher, I would at least give this story to literature teacher because this is some actual talent. She didn’t just cut some details so we would think what we need to, everything happened like it could happen in real situation. This girl has a great potential.
She would be amazing at creative writing assignments. I don't like essays myself, as I prefer to use my imagination instead of someone else's. Creative writing is my strong suit. I bet she'd get a 100%.
im also bad at essays and creative, and creative writing but when i find something i like i can gush about i can talk about it for hours. it so my secret is look at the topic and search for something in it i can gush about and then bam you have an entire essay center about something you want to talk about may be hard in some topics but there is always something

The story seemed to oddly fit the boiling isles place. I loved the last scene where she made a pic of her and the mother were hugging each other. I think her mother would be very proud of everything she's accomplished and all the friends she's made.
Let's be honest. If she had to do zuch a report after returning from the Boiling Isles she would make something up since she would know she technically can't write about supernatural myths folklore since she knows its all real.
It's very sad how school supresses the creativity of children, making them all a copy of one another. That kind of education was useful 150 years ago, when there was a huge need for working people because of the wars. It's not useful now, because creativity helps come up with new revolutionary ideas, and with the internet basically anyone can do what they imagine if they just get enough people to believe in their goal. School should encourage creativity, but it doesn't, which is why chatGPT and other ai is excellent at doing schoolwork.
be fair to Camilla she probably thinks that the assignment should have been really easy for Luz given her fascination with magic and fantasy it's not a stretch to think Luz has some interest in mythology and folklore. Also her story remained me somewhat of the movie trick or treat with the subverting of expectations.
Its so cute and i do believe an illsion would be light and ice together in an order of ice (to make the base) , light ( to make it shine), light ( to make it more brighter and stand out)

@@folmhaigh039 abominations are a sort of mud... so first we would probably need a sort of water glyph, which is just fire + ice, then an earth glyph, which I don't know if she could, the closest is plant, so plant + something else.. maybe fire again? that's stretching it though

It's a contraction of "mi" and "hija", meaning my and daughter respectively. So mija means my daughter. Like the others said, it's just an affectionate name to use like sweetheart
