This is in response to a blanket statement about Arken scopes being as good as $1500 to $2000 scopes. Sorry to be the RU-vid Hall monitor, but these statements are simply NOT TRUE!! Watch at your own risk!!
I am THRILLED to hear you say the Athlon Midas Tac beats out the Arken!! After your last video that was my only comment. It is 110% true!!! Thank you!!! ps. If you are shopping for your 1st scope this video offers info that is beyond valuable.
@@Boomerfootball1 I think the Midas Tac and the Element Titan are the best scopes in that range. So yes I would. Reticle preference plays a big part in your decision you have to love the reticle, you'll be looking at forever. I would never (as of now) get a Nightforce bc I hate their reticles. I personally think the Midas Tac has better glass than the EP5 - However, you will find plenty of people saying how much they love the Arken. The one I looked thru has a lot of CA and it bummed me out. I sold my Midas and upgraded to the Athlon Cronus. DAMN is that scope bad ass in every way!!!
@@KevinWood44 awesome thank you! Cronus is on my dream list for sure lol. But I think I’ll go for the Midas tac this time around the ep5 does sound good but get mixed reviews on it. How was your eye relief on the Midas tac and how was it towards max power?
@@Boomerfootball1 With most guns the eyebox gets a little tight at the higher mags. I kept my Midas (and my Cronus) on roughly 12-16x. There was no tunneling at all. It was a great scope. Let me know how it goes.
I love the straight up attitude. You can’t beat honesty. And you can’t argue with facts. Been watching you Chanel for about a year now and that’s why. Thanks for your time that you take to do what you do. There are people that appreciate it.
I have been subbed for quite a while. And everything in this video is correct and to the point. Even I, as a Vortex fan boy (no affiliate membership, no kick backs, I do not work for that company, I am a simple caveman electrician. Years ago your scientists thawed me out of a glacier....) I must say that you are correct. For the price for a usable long range scope that is very forgiving for beginners and even hunters with a bit more distance than Aunt Mable's canola field on her 20 acres (such as a small canyon hunt for mule deer,) the Arken is it. I have a few Arken scopes. My problem with them is that the set screws let go after a while and the turret covers spin. That has happened more than once on more than one unit, just sitting in the gun cabinet, not even banging in the woods. That happens zero times with my Vortex optics. But my Venom was more expensive by approximately 50 dollars. Granted, you might get more travel from zero stop on the Arken but either way, if shooting long range, you would get at least a 20 MOA canted rail and zero at 200 yards. I have a feeling if a vid came that said that this other scope was better than a Tract then they would research the claim and find out what they could improve, if necessary. I also do not trust others reviews that hold the Arken above others and it turns out that they are affiliates. Look up the word affiliate membership. It is a compensated position. There is nothing wrong with being an employee or even a paid advertiser. I will accept that and realize that the job is not an objective review but a weighted one to give preference. Because that is what I am seeing others do. Some things are just a matter of scope construction that they all share. To fit all those parts into a light and small scope, you are going to have trade-offs. For example, if you have dialed extreme windage and then wind to the top of elevation, you will notice sideways drift. So, to say that one scope has that and that it is a bad thing is to not mention that all scopes do that. Chromatic aberration? That is a result of putting coating on lenses and is totally normal and not a defect and I have only seen it on camera but not with my own eyes, owning both Vortex and Arken scopes. That doesn't it is not there, I just can't see it. So much debating is just posturing and apes beating chests. And yes, a lot of Caca del Toro. You get what you pay for. For example, Gunwerks hand-builds a rifle and breaks it in and gets a basic zero with a Swarovski scope on it. It will cost you 12k. And it will be sub MOA. You can immediately take it hunting, or whatever you are doing. And some guys do that for long range western hunts.
Most of my scopes are in the 500 dollar range. I'm not a competition shooter, so they fill my needs for casual shooting at the range, or occasional hunting. With that being said, if I ever stepped up to a higher level of shooting, I'd want higher level equipment. Thanks for the honest video.
I have a bunch of Arkens prob 6-7 SH4's and 3 EP5's I love em and they're a great buy they're even more of a great buy when you get em on sale. That being said, they don't compare to my Razor gen 2's or my gen 3 or my Nightforce's, but they are great scopes, probably one of if not the biggest bang for your buck scopes.
I think the whole thing with the "bovine scatology" videos has a direct correlation to the creator of those videos. They have entertainment value and spread/fertilize information to help make a "good" choices when looking to buy a firearm related item, great video Mike
Ive seen so many channels imo loose credibility reviewing these EP5.. those video titles litterally stating EP5 vs Nightforce ect.. Ive came from shooting 30$ optics shooting over 1 mile. Optical advantage is assurance about your gear, one less thing to worry about when behind the rifle. I even stated this runing a zeis S5 at the GAP grind. I had one stage that only me and Ray where able to see the targets during sunset. Thats where $3,500 was worth evey penny... When you spend thousands to attend a match. It would be silly to use inferior gear
Love the videos. Bought a scope because of your reviews. I couldn't get my hands on an optic due to local dealers. Turned my gun nut buddy on to your channel due to your experience with handling so many great scopes. You just can't got to a store and lay hands on all these. So I just took your word for it and couldn't be happier! Athlon aries ETR. Couldnt be happier!
Absolutely the truth right here. There is a price to be paid for optical superiority. And that don't come cheap. When you are shooting way out there take any advantage you can get. Good video
Don’t own any high end scopes here and I’m glad you made this video. Watching all those vids with the use my code at the end is like ok that’s great but how honest are we being? With that said though an sh4 shipped to your door for $315 with rings (hope they’re better nowadays) is the best bargain for a whole scatload of people out there. As far as I know, which isn’t much, is a really good sale on a PST with a set of rings will still run twice as much or more and be a pretty close race as to which is better
I like how you still they they are GREAT for the price point and that they are punching a lil above their pay grade. Honest review bud 👍🏼 I bought a Blackhound Genesis over the Sh4 because it was on sale for 235 dollars and because you said the glass was a little bit better 🤘🏼
🍿🥤 I have two Arkens, one on a 22LR and another on an AR in 6mm ARC for hitting steel out to 600+ yards. Both are great fun and do what they're intended to (good accuracy at an affordable price). My custom action 6x47L for shooting precision to 600 and beyond has a Trijicon Tenmile in the $1750 price range and there's no way in the world the Arken compares or would keep up.
“Dream crusher”. Haha! I always enjoy your saucy rants. Lots of other good tools out there nowadays. Determine your priorities, run your selection process, and don’t worry what guys like me or anyone else say. It’s simply a tool. 🎯
1st and foremost, Buy once cry once!! This is and will always be the rule of thumb. I do not mind a good video done on a good scope with good representation. 😁😁😁 It's all the helium that gets added that sucks!! 😘😘😘 I just like people that stay in their lane and deliver direct and TRUE statements about a product. Do you need to misrepresent a product to sell it??
@@TiborasaurusRex I hope they use your code.. not kidding.. I hope you sell a million. Then I am hoping to NOT see another BS video on a lower end product that has been BLOWN out of proportion!! Thank you for watching!!
I just hope their new EPL4s are going to be at least better than the other brands in the $500 and under scope category. If not, I'm going to have to buy more Athlon Midas Tacs (6-24x50). I was thinking if trying the EPL4 6-24x50 and use a 20moa rail since it has only 65moa elevation (same as the Element Helix and in the vicinity of the Argos and Diamondback Tactical). Looking to keep the weight down and not be too spendy for 22s and close 10 yard focus would be a plus.
I'd go with the 4-16x SH4 and not the 6-24x due to limitations on their glass quality in the 24x. Other than that, the EP5 is nice when used as a 5-20x and their new EPL4s look promising. At the end of the day I think their EPL4 4-16x will be their best scope model followed by their SH4 4-16x as a close second then their EP5 third.
But... But... I heard the Army is switching to Arken EP5 instead of the Vortex XM157 Fire Control Optic! 😀 I think Arken optics are great target scopes for their price! Looking forward to getting an EP5 for NRL22 base division.
Be aware that not all EP5s can focus as close as 25 yards. They vary quite a lot and parallax issues are common but at least they send you a prepaid return shipping label so you won't be out of pocket for the warranty. I'm very curious how good their new EPL4s with the 10 yard focus will actually be for under $400. I'm hoping at least better than all the budget Chinese $500 and under such as the Element Helix (personally not a fan due to it's very sucky eye box and mediocre to sub par glass for the price), Athlon Argos (probably the suckiest $400 6-24x50 scope that money can buy which proves I'm not an Athlon shill), Vortex Diamondback Tactical (another pretty sucky scope), among many others (too many to list).
I'd personally just buy an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 if you need to depend on a reliable scope for competition. It has more than ample elevation (85moa class leading in a 30mm tube) with class leading glass as well. You will see the difference on high magnification when you compare it to higher priced scopes such as the Element Titan and Vortex Strike Eagle. It will leave all other $600 and under scopes in the dust. You will need something made in Japan to beat it or the Ares BTR to match it or Ares ETR to slightly exceed it for twice the price.
The problem with our community is we tend to die on a hill. We should be honest with a review and call it like it is. We also need to realize it’s better to grow our community than to scare people away. Buy once cry once is relative to a persons budget. $500 might be someone’s limit. That’s were the Arken wins. Hopefully people will try shooting some kind of match. I hope they bring that ruger American with an Arken or something similar. I hope they learn the fundamentals of marksmanship and make some friends along the way. The people who’s buying this stuff are mid-pack and below folks who make it possible for the matches to happen. Hope you are feeling better! God bless
This comment makes an important point. I think a lot of serious competition shooters forget this, and focus on the best equipment because they can justify the expense... For things that I am really into I fully get the buy once, cry once principal. Being frugal by nature is different from being cheap. Being frugal is simply trying to get the most cost effective tool for the task at hand. And not everyone's "task" is the same, even in the same sport... I'm 59. Been a "gun guy" all my life. Shot my first handgun at 5, and owned my first .22 rifle at 6. My main interest has been handguns of various types. Never been into any form of competition unless you count just trying to best the four other random guys on the trap range. And yes, with my mildly self modified Rem. 1100, setup specifically for trap, I have routinely shot better rounds than guys on either side of me with $10K - $30K shotguns. Of course, there are also tons of others that would SMOKE my ass even if we swapped guns... But yes, I do get that in long range rifle, equipment makes a HUGE difference. Even still, my point is that at 59 I have never been a rifle guy and have just very recently developed an interest in giving it a try. Not sure if I'll ever even shoot a PRS match, but it does look fun. Will I ever attempt to be truly competitive? Nope, don't even aspire to be. It just looks fun and if I come in dead last, I really don't care as long as I have fun, learn something and maybe get better next time. With that said, I may not even get into it. I tend to have hobby ADD and have a great many interest vying for my time and money. So, I'm trying to be frugal, and set up a rifle that will allow me to dip my pinky toe and see... Just picked up a "used" but BNIB, never fired Tikka UPR in 6.5 CM. Is that a great long range rifle? No, it's not ideal, but I got it for half of what they sell for locally. Saved enough to easily buy a chassis for it if I decide I want to upgrade, but as it sits it'll allow me to get started on learning the fundamentals and see if it holds my interest. Just need to get it set up with a bipod and optic, which brings me here. So, with the above goals in mind, what would be my best bang for the buck scope for this rifle?
I bought an Arken because I wanted a cheap budget option for a build. I received a great budget option. That's it. It isn't my Razors. It isn't even my PST's. It isn't my Cronus or Midas or Toric or V6 or V4. But I spent less than 500 bucks on it and got slightly more than I paid for it. What does anyone gain from overselling a product? When that happens, you erode trust and respect. I anxiously await their rebuttal. By the way, why the hell do you (of all people) own a freaking Osprey?
LOL... That Osprey has been the topic of A LOT of conversations at the shop LOL... I was going to shoot through the scope from end to end and I just have not had time to make the video.. Thanks for watching!!😅😅😅
Just for kicks you should try the AYIN 6-24x50 $160 delivered from Amazon or eBay($134 apiece with free ship when you buy 4 or more). Think of it as a Vortex Diamondback Tactical alternative with much nicer glass for less than half the cost.
it may be... but you forgot about my Osprey 4-14 mil-dot, super light gathering-long range express scope that I run on my flatulence filled airsoft AR15 pump action- lever gun. 😘😘

I like Rex, my impression is that he's straightforward and a pretty decent person. I find this video knocking him to be pretty distasteful. When I first heard of Arken, I spent weeks watching RU-vid videos on the Arkens from everyone, including Rex. The general consensus was that they were super robust and had great glass. It was enough for me to order one and do my own comparisons. I compared the EP5 in side by side, apples to apples comparisons with a $1000 Burris XTRII and also with a brand new $1800 Maven RS.4. At 100 yards on a colored eye chart with various shapes, the EP5 clarity was head and shoulders above the Burris which surprised me, it wasn't even close. What I didn't expect, was to see that the EP5 was every bit the equal to the Maven with 100 yard clarity. In comparing the EP5 to the Maven at 3000 yards, it had slightly better clarity than the Maven. I said that right. I followed up these visual eye tests with carefully taken and focused pictures with my Iphone. While you're right, you lose the ability to judge overall clarity, you can however make an accurate comparison between optics when done carefully with all things being equal in your photography process. I'm not gonna argue with anyone, I knew immediately what my eye was seeing in spite of what the perceptions were. This was also confirmed and backed up by the pics. The Maven was sent back as you may recall. Recently a friend compared my EP5 side by side with his NF NXS and felt the Arken was at least it's equal. This was in a 2000 yard shoot where I nearly had a cold bore impact on an 18" plate only missing by .75 left. To date, we have 3 EP5's replacing other costlier optics. They have held up great in rugged hunting conditions always returning to zero and all have tracked perfect or within 1% on the "worst" one verified in a solid tracking test fixture. An EP5 is on my 30 Nosler that took a central Oregon bull elk at 950 yards and the same gun was used by my daughter last weekend to kill her Roosevelt bull at 865 yards. I'm NOT saying it's a $2000 optic, but I sure don't feel I'm giving up anything to the $1500-$2000 optics for what I mostly do which is ELR target practice and long range hunting.
Some folks just don't get it. Rex has helped the "common man" through his RU-vid content more than ANY other. Period. I would not have trusted SWFA, if not for the detailed data driven information and real world application provided by Rex...Same for Arken. It's all about performance for dollar value. It was through shoddy erector assemblies that I sought an alternative to Vortex through SWFA. I will gladly pass up a zero stop in trade for more reliable tracking and durability. Same for the Burris XTR II. I will gladly sacrifice a little weight savings for better glass AND better tracking through Arken....AND save several hundred dollars. Kudos to Rex for looking out for us common folk. I hope he makes a buck off his reviews. Lord knows he has put in the hours of quality content to help his brother. Not everyone competes...some of us are just fine shooting $299 Savages set in $400 B&C's and banging steel at 1200 yds, using a .308 with a reliable $600 optic, just for funsies..I hope Panther makes a buck too, fwiw.
@@jeffholder8018 My thought process was similar when I was first checking out the Arkens. There was no doubt they were tough as hell. I had had enough problems with the Burris's losing zero among other issues that I was willing to give up some glass clarity and add some weight to get reliability. What I hadn't counted on was much better glass than expected
RU-vid is filled with a bunch of BS these days at least there’s somebody on here that tells the truth and says it how it is! This is a great video this is what we want people like me who watch videos want to hear the truth not BS just So they can make money. again thank you for your video and your honesty
I couldn’t find video #1 so I’m leaving this comment here. Hope you didn’t remove that video. Might be a little harsh but oh so needed for anyone considering a new scope. Thank you so much for video #1 and #2. These Arken scopes have been all the rage but some RU-vidrs have a dog in the hunt and truths have been stretched. You have called it exactly the way it is! Now I won’t buy a scope and later have buyers remorse because I was misled by RU-vid videos. Also: Others call a $200 bipod a budget scope but perhaps the average shooter has a different budget. Thanks again.
Hey Mike this video got me to subscribe for truth. Another youtuber compared the arken to a NF ATACR and thought it is just as good. Unfreakingbelieveable.
Thank you for the videos I appreciate it!! What scope would you recommend for a guy just trying to get into the prs game I got a custom built 6 creed my budget is 2k Tia!
@@pantherhollow5290 thank you!! I have an Ares btr gen 1 , its a great optic i haven’t had a chance to check out anything newer no one in my area has them on hand
I don't think I would ever buy a cheaper scope under 1500 again lol. Im spoiled by some good glasses and recent lasik eye surgery. My next scope is going to be a march 3-24 or another March scope. Which do you like more (in the march scopes) ? Also Im looking to custom build for the first time (thats not an AR) with the 7mm prc :D
I have several March scopes Including their 3-24s on up and they really are the best scopes that money can buy since they're all individually hand assembled and not mass produced unlike other high end scopes that are mass produced. I really like their lighter weight and smaller than normal size compared to other high end scopes. The only scope that I can say that comes close is the Nightforce NX8 4-32x at a lower price point. I also own several Nightforce scopes as well so I personally already did a lot of comparisons. I have the Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-29x56 which I bought before buying the Tract Toric ELR 4.5-30x56 and I like the Tract Toric better. Then I recently purchased that Burris XTR PRO 5.5-30x56 and it's way better than the others and the eye box and sight picture is simply incredible compared to the others and us in a class of its own with no equal. I'm tempted to buy the Maven RS 4 4.5-30x56 but have my own reservations if it can beat the Burris XTR PRO. I can honestly say that if you want an excellent high end scope at medium a tier 2 price then the Sightron SVIII 5-40x56 is the one for under $2000 (when on sale). I bought this one instead of the March specifically for the greater elevation (140moa) compared to the March. On the plus side it was more than half the price and I highly doubt that the March could possibly have significantly nicer glass and this is coming from am actual owner of higher end March scopes. The only negatives I can say about it is it's incredibly heavy, even heavier than the Vortex Razor 2 and 3 and the turrets are not quite as nice as the Razor 2 but image quality is noticeably better with the Sightron SVIII compared to both Razor gen 2 and 3 when compared side by side within their magnification ranges. I'd say the Sightron SVIII could be comparable to some of the best out there. I ended up buying 5 of them. The Arken EP5 is great when used as a 5-20x scope. It was very interesting to do a head to head against a $1500 Element Nexus specifically at 5-20x. I think this is what Rex meant when he stated the Arken can compete with scopes that cost $1500. The Element Nexus vs Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 had more of a difference with the Athlon compared at 5-20x and came out on top for roughly half the price and was not as close as the EP5 vs Nexus. The EP5 vs the Element Titan would be more of a fair comparison. I have to agree the Athlon Midas Tac (especially their 6-24x50) and Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 are the best sub $1000 scopes out there today which I really don't think any other scopes can beat (made in China scopes sold by other brands).
@@commonsense5709 Oh man oh man that's a whole lot of options haha. I will stick to March 3-24 x 52 illum, because it seems to hit all the boxes that matters. I do own an arken which for the price is def you can't beat (the glass, reticle and the illum). But the turret came loose on me and the markings def don't stay lined as you adjust elevation or wind. Maybe I got rambo hands or whatever.. I have bushnell, eotech and burris. All are great scopes and I will not give up on any one of em LOL . I want a hunting lightweight scope with amazing clarity for some long range shooting with 7mm prc recoil. And it's gotta take a beating and keep on living. Price is not a problem for me because I've been saving up for it. I think the zero compromise was the other one I was considering but that 1:8 zoom from March is VERY VERY good for hunting. I need that 3x for DMR style of shooting from AR -10. Its gonna be my all around scope. I have designated scopes that have 36x zoom, red dot or lpvo ... But none does it all this good.
@Common Sense agree. That Sightron S8 is just simply unbelievably amazing glass. Sub 2k I'm going With MY Delta Stryker. Another amazing glass for 1800 or so. Great write up
Hey Mike, unfortunately I don’t have the budget for a scope over $1k; I’m a huge fan of the Element Titan 5-25 from the things I’ve seen on it and the reticle they have on it. How does the Titan compare to the Arken EP5?
I'd buy the new Bushnell Match Pro ED 5-30x56 for $699.99 retail direct from Bushnell first choice then Arken EP5 second choice and the Titan wouldn't even be considered. Way too heavy, not enough elevation adjustment for a 34mm tube better off buying the Arken EP5 for close to half the price. IMHO it wasn't a well thought of scope in an engineering standpoint.
Thanks for asking about the code. I am not sure they are allowing me to get credit on a code because of some of my content. I am a dealer for Arken and I do seel thier products. Thanks for asking , I hope you enjoy the scope.
I would have to be an absolute gullible moron to not agree with each and every statement you made throughout this whole video. You told the truth all the way through and I think it's funny in an eerie way that I have an EP 5 and I also have Tract Toric ELR. There is no way I can closely compare either of the two. Tract is as nice as it gets for me because that's my budget and it is hands down better in every single way except cost. But I do love these two scopes for what they are. And I commend both companies for putting out such a value-rich offering. You picked two really great companies to discuss here. I took my brake off of my 28 Nosler and beat the absolute hell out of the EP 5. It stayed put and that's what I need more than pretty glass. But thank you for the video. This sport/hobby is supposed to be a brotherhood of integrity. Whenever we help new people, we have to help steer them in a way that keeps a little money in their pocket and not compelled to believe lies . Those lies will only frustrate them right out of shooting! Be good to our new guy, he really needs our help!
Glad to hear some truth for a change. I really like my Vortex Strike Eagle. But, I'm not a competition shooter so it serves its purpose for me. Although, I would like to try stretching out to 1k with my setup.
Came across your video when researching scopes. Between the tract Toric 30 mm lr, or a maven rs3.2, which would you go with for a hunting rifle that will be used at the range too? Still deciding between The fix by Q, a Christensen arms MPR, and a fierce mtn reaper (if you have any opinions on the rifles I’d appreciate those too). Thanks.
Toric for targets and Maven for hunting because of weight, Glass is a tie! Fierce mtn reaper. would be my choice!!! I have seen too many issues with CA barrels!

Could develop into more later, but now only have a couple grand into my action and chassis. I’ll need guidance on bipods as well.
@@JordanWest-s6b Tract all day My top choice would be the Athlon Cronos. They are as tough as nails. I had mine for a few years now and it has a few scratches on it but it works like a Swiss clock!! Bi-Pod... Accu-tac or Atlas.. Do not cheap out here you will understand when you handle a nice pod!!😃😃😃😃
if the Arken can't compete with a $2000 scope, what does it compete with? in 5x25 if I had 2 or $300 more what's better than the Arken? a strike force, primary arms, athlon or the blackhound RU-vidrs are talking about?
Got a question did arken change the lamentation on the sh4 scopes? Because I 2 sh4 that are over a year old and I just got a new sh4 in today and the whole radical glows now unlike my older ones i have that just the cross hair glow
I agree with you whole heartedly but I think it's the best scope under $1,000 but you have looked through a lot more glass than me mike the only grip I have with Arken is the cross hairs it is to fine for my old eyes! And I have a question does anyone make a scope that is any good that is SFP instead of FFP anymore?
New to your channel and new to long range. I have a Savage 110 FCP 338 Lapua and could only afford a Vortex viper PST gen one 6x24x50. All I want to do is to stack bodies at 5 miles. Can this scope achieve that? Kidding. I do want to work my way to 1000 + with this scope and have a lot of good shooters tell me it is a good enough scope. Just wanted your onion if I may. Many thanks
lol.. yea, as long as you have enough internal elevation you should be fine. The glass on the Viper will work! you may need to step up to a bigger caliber for the 5-mile shot. the Zombie apocalypse is not for off.. So hone those skills brother! have a good weekend!!
So I know i'm late to post but I bought the Athlon ETR and my son bought the Tract Toric....should we have just bought a Arken? JK , What's your take on my ETR for a first long range optic since your shoot straight. I prefer mine to the Tract but I know it's because I have to hunt for a good image due to my son's cheek and length of pull setup on his chassis.
the Aries ETR is the best China scope on the market. That being said the Tract Toric ELR is a better scope in many ways. You may prefer the brighter glass in the Aries but the German shot glass in the Tract is warmer and has more of a tendency to spotting bullet trace. You have 2 VERY nice scopes, and it is really about what YOU like better glass wise. Have a blessed day!!!
@@pantherhollow5290 That's what I was thinking. The ETR seems to have richer colors but I was thinking it was not a natural look. Thank for the honest opinion.
Panther Hollow LOL.. I do not put that poison in my dad bod... LOL, honey and spice tea works just fine.. I have conducted several scope video studies. The video captured with the same camera with a $1000 scope vs a $3000 scope shows little differace in the video!! Because at this point you are limited by your camera. I use HIGH end cameras and the limiting factor is the camera itself. If you would like to conduct a study and show me that you have a camera that is better than what I have suggested than I am ALL EARS!! Maybe you could donate it to my channel.. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know!
@@pantherhollow5290 meant in a good way, gets you thinking. I've been a poor and buying low quality optics because of my price range, would love a chance to buy some higher quality options
I shall include my comment from a year ago. Sure it is a great scope for the money but just like I will never be a super model it will never be a night force. There could be a very few $1000 scopes it may hang with but very few AND anything higher let's not get crazy. Again thought great scope FOR THE MONEY.
I think his point was the image you see on your computer is only going to be as good as the camera used is capable of and not what is seen by looking through the scope with your eye. Someone that does a great job doing a video through a scope is C_Does.

I feel he is saying, "here is actual camera footage I took thru this scope" vs saying, "the view I saw thru this scope is (subject to his taste or opinion), as long as the person doing the comparison is purposefully not skewing /manipulating post production of the picture, you have a side by side comparison to make your own decision, thanks Mike, again for your information you give us

I like you dude, I watch, share and enjoy your information and learned , but that president BULCRAP was not necessary. I am subscribed and so are my friends that I invited so, please respect everyone on your channel. I Appreciate Your Time as I know it require a lot of it.
Well thanks man!! Thank you for the comment!! Sorry if you disagree with what I said, but that is makes our country GREAT. Speech is free and I along with several others know our country has been hurt these last few years!! It is easy to see... have a blessed week!!
I have tried Riton scopes and talked to the manufacture. They are not open minded to other people's input!! The radicals are too thick and mainly made for hunting. not easy people to talk to because they already know everything!
I'd recommend staying away from Riton. There have been reported bad warranty situations where they didn't honor their own warranty on defective scopes. The Riton 7 series have a bad track record regarding quality control and reliability issues even though they are "supposedly" made in Japan.
I like my Tract Toric ELR a lot better than my Athlon Cronus. Better glass and better feeling turrets with locking feature. Only negative IMHO is it's heavier. I plan to buy a Bushnell Match Pro ED 5-30x56 for $699.99 retail direct from Bushnell as my next scope. It has already been favorably compared to the Athlon Cronus as being equal to or very close for less than half the price.
