That Sorrow preset... A modern CS80 sound right there. Realy realy good. Also, so happy that I was a small part of this amazing project. Great work Dawesome :)
There are no coincidences. After not making music for months now, I just had that urge to delve back into it a couple of days ago. First thought was "when I start again, I want to play around with an unconventional synth, something that's more playful, more visual and less about just moving knobs and picking wavetables, yet can still create sounds for a wide range of purposes." . Already owning some Dawesome vsts I was curious if there's a new one and just at that time you release this thing, which just feels tailored exactly to what I was looking for. Spooky.
Dawesome/Tracktion Finally got around to downloading Myth. I've just spent a few hours getting to know Myth, while also using it along with Kult. The reason I reached for Kult was that within 20 minutes of 'listening' to Myths potential it quickly helped develop an idea. I don't really know how to put this, other than that you guys have truly made a very special instrument here. I swapped out one Iris, from one of the presets "iris', with a tweaked piano/effect sample of mine. Firstly, I was shocked at how fantastic Myth made my sample sound along with the other Iris. Secondly, I was shocked that I was 30 minutes into a new piece of music. I can't wait to learn Myth, because after my first impressions, I'm pretty sure it will become one of my more powerful instruments; of this, I have no doubts.
@@dawesome That's a great feature. I already have everything else you've made, so I don't doubt I'll be filling your coffers sometime tomorrow. Your innovation is off the charts.
I tried my best and it is my most ambitious project. Also this time there were almost 20 sound designers involved, and it comes with more than 700 presets as starting points!
Imagine Myth as a hardware synthesizer, with a totally different UI! Like with multiple touchpads to control assigned transformers in real time etc.... Holy cow, that would be an instrument I'd blow my savings on!
@@quantum_ocean Is is available - please visit www.tracktion.com/products/myth My focus is only on creating the plugins, they are distributed and sold via tracktion!
this is exactly what i meant when I said in my video that databroth is going to make the proper synth demos. just like this video's first preset. perfectly executed sound showcasing almost all features of the synth at once. (the other sounddesigners here also did an excellent job btw)
Wow. This is a machine. I understand that if you don't want to spend 20 hours on sound designing one sound, you can just take this. Although the Cult is also capable of a lot, there is still a clear difference.
Sound design wise insane as expected from Dawesome. Only one thing that bugs me with the GUI is the lack of displaying values on parameters. On some they are shown but most of them not. My DAW shows the exact values so it's no biggy but a bit inconvenient to look for it outside the plugin.
Where my disappointment goes is that having all Dawesome products doesn't give you a special price for this heavily priced plugin. Having said that it looks really amazing, as all Dawesome products are.
my pros cons, pros: good for aimbient, atmosphere, cinematic, texture, experimentic fx sounds cons: too many pads, atmosphere... not too much solid lead or key sounds for making casual pop music

The fonts are soo small in dawesome plugins. If you doesnt have a 4k monitor say bye to your eyes. The plugins are really nice and heavily underrated tho.
Thanks for reporting! You can re-scale the plugin with the grab at the lower right. If this still does not yield good enough results - please send me a screenshot to peter at dawesomemusic dot com - I have two beta testers with visual impairments that take care that contrasts, font sizes etc are working well - this is very important to me.
@@dawesome Hi. Thanks for fast reply. Its really depends on certain monitor and i guess screenshots will not objective here. I personally have a 2k monitor. Not sure about PPI. I should notice that i use windows 11, it uses a crappy font renderer - as a result - thin, small fonts looks very bad compared to macs. (Windows uses sub pixel anti-aliasing) I'll take Kult for example: Fonts at fx section, where u have dist, comb and other fx have a very small thin fonts. It will be much better to make it a little more thicker. In terms of readability i really like madrona labs plugins. The fonts can be really small, but they using some kind of smoothing. Really easy on eyes.
I'll Rodger that. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I struggle sometimes to see the fonts on some vsts. My screen definition is probably a problem too and from what I've read cubase seems to believe ongoing dpi issues are a feature not a bug. I really like the layout and sound possibilities from dawsome synth just wish fonts were bigger too. There's a lot of real estate goes to the osc's in kult and the iris's in myth. An "old man with shitty monitor ui mode" might help! Will say that dawsome vst's are in no way the biggest offenders at all but bigger fonts might help. Only just found out about your synths a couple of weeks ago and I love the approach to synth design you've taken. They are fun to spend time with.
