This game had awesome effects that any strategy game cannot do until now.... blood and bodies were still staying on ground after events. This ability has no in any recent games.
Thanks for the trapping Alric with Berserkers trick, Tanti1675! At first, I couldn't pull it off, and it seemed like Alric just walked through my Berserkers. Fortunately, when I reloaded, I tried again, and Alric got caught in front of just one Berserker in my protective circle. That was what I needed to employ your strategy. I let a few of Balor's soldiers live, just so they get the chance to try to attack my guys. It makes sense to restrain Alric before confronting Balor. I doesn't make sense for him to rush in at the expense of his own life until Balor's back-up guys were taken care of. Again, thanks for the help.
The lightning doesn't cause blood to come out on nonfatal hit - that blood is actually from the heads on the myrk standard. Alric does take damage several times in this video though - but its pretty unavoidable.
Man, I loved this game. Used to play it online all the time. Potato McWhiskey was doing a video on a new RTS called "The Valiant", and it reminded me a bit of MTFL.
