Myth: The Fallen Lords (TFL) Playthrough Mission 6: Force Ten From Stoneheim Played on Myth 2 Engine with the Fallen Levels Plugin Legendary Difficulty No Casualties
Wow, I think I know the problem of this game. They should have provided more forms of healing so you wouldn't be afraid of using melee units. That would definitely add more momentum to fights and make it less grindy.
In the campaign, maybe. I think it's more because I like to get no casualties. The game is kind of meant to be played and have units die. It's really not a problem in multiplayer because you have to engage at the right time with your melee. This game isn't really meant to be like a Warcraft 3 where you just have heroes. It's meant to be chaotic. The coolest part is that you could essentially give someone a lot of heals in a map if you wanted to. It's just up to the map creator what they want the dynamic to be. Anyways longer response then I needed. Have a nice day!
There's no real AI to the enemy forces, just loads of scripting. Granted, this is a game from 1997, but still. I'd hoped Deadhold on Steam would continue the tradition of Myth, but they stopped development when they ran out of money. What a shame.
Yeah I think the developers of Deadhold picked off more than they could chew. I also think only a select group of people is looking for a game like Myth so they would need to learn to do a lot of advertising to get their game out there. It looked like it would have been fun though.
I dislike levels like this where they put the enemy in a great defensive position and force you to either abuse the ai or be an idiot and charge. You lose either way. I completely understand where you are coming from.
