It would be interesting to do these studies/surveys in other countries, e.g. European ones, and see how they differ from these US-based studies. The US is holding on to some Puritan beliefs it seems.

She didn’t specify how the questions were phrased. There’s a lot of generalizations in the talk and not much actual data. Interesting study, but it seems like she was trying to prove a certain result she wanted.
I don't know if you've seen Ted talks before but they never go into their actual specific data... but relay the results in a way that she has exactly done.
She goes more into detail in her studies and I can assure you that they are, in fact, real studies that were controlled for biases and framing. You can probably find them by googling Conley's name with a keyword or two.
@@faithallen1560 one of her 'scientific papers' has this sub-heading: 'Beautiful, self-absorbed, and shallow: people of color perceive White women as an ethnically marked category' - that's a funny claim to make considering the viewpoint of every single non-white person I have ever met has had on white women, has entirely nothing to do with anything like that. It's basically a super vague humanities paper that sets out to prove a thing she desperately wants to believe; that non-white people see white women as 'one of them'. Which is just insane, in near every conceivable way, to my mind, and as per my own knowledge and experiences. Class has a lot more to do with it imo.
I really hate that the studies conducted are extremely biased and further trying to prove the researchers point rather than being unbiased truth. There is no way she conducted this research without those biases she holds dear to herself.
I wonder how you objectively determine that there's "no differences in the passion of lovers" between monogamous and consensually non monogamous couples. Makes no sense to me. If there's only 1 person that I am intimate with, I will value that person more than if there was another person I was also intimate with. It's human nature to value someone or something more if it's rarer, or in greater demand than supply. I honestly think that her research is full of confirmation bias. I'd like to see objective data proving me wrong.
@Xhydria where's the contradiction? The less of something you have, the rarer it is for you. If I only have 1 partner, then # of partners is rarer for me than if I had more than 1 partner

These are anonymous blind studies, there's no reason to lie and they don't collect your information. I don't know how else you think one could conduct a survey on a topic like this.
@@goldenstallion7034 yes I have. The question on this type of polls are crucial. And the definition of the type of subject that participate on the Pool are also crucial. It’s a long topic. The issue is that this “conclusions” are wrong.
But marriage need to come up first then sex. We need to preserve chastity. Therefore we should not let our daughters and sisters to be led to sex then they are let go look for another one and another one etc. Who will like to be the last one in the chain to marry a person who has been used and misused by many others??????
@@mutomubaya: Personally, I'd like someone who's had the experience to have figured out what they like, learned some skills in pleasing others, etc. Instead of "used and misused", think perhaps of a dancer or other performer... Who would want to watch someone who's utterly inexperienced on the stage? Worse still, if you're performing, too, who'd want to perform next to someone who was?

I think USA must seriously look at the road hazards in Detroit to Chicago strip. I gues there is russian bomardment going on that strip alongwith nuclear polution, maybe road vehicles r taken as shooting targets for army practice too not to mention frequent paches where 2 lanes converge to 1
You're making that assumption based on your personal emotions and beliefs, not on logic and hard evidence. It's okay to believe that but don't try to pass it off as being "unhealthy" as if that's a fact
@@heba9978 the person literally said 'I don't agree with you', i.e. it is pretty obvious they are giving their own opinion, isn't it? When someone gives their opinion they generally don't intend it to be taken as fact by all other people everywhere etc.
