The battle is on! How good is Dionysus? is giving your opponent 2 extra points enough nerf? Army - Apollo 6 Apollo 4 Nemean Lion 4 Gryphon 3 Odysseus 1 Satyrs Army - Dionysus: 6+2 Dionysus 3 Python 3 Phoenix 3 Jason 1 Argonauts
Liked the game keep them coming! Don't worry to much about mistakes everyone makes them. I am just happy to see some Mythic Battles played since mine is packed away right now :(
Around 18 minutes, you did 3 activations I think? You activated the Satyr Children to pull the Lion, then the Python (without playing its card) to attack the Lion, and then Dionysus.
At 35:00 Art of War was not needed because Apollo was in the surroundings of Odysseus. Also I'm not sure why the player didn't chose to focus on Dionysus.
This video felt like you guys where starting to take your gloves off and get a little more competitive and testy with each other. Very entertaining lol. Keep them coming!
Flying units CAN ignore block. But they need to be doing just that, flying. Meaning a Fast Flight complex action. If they don't do that, they are walking or running, which block hinders. Makes sene, but with rules and lore wise, as the rules point out that they are moving around on the ground unless they specifially take flight. I really feel like a nitpicker pointing out rules mistakes, I'm just leaning myself. I hope this helps someone else. And thanks again for a great video guys. Not my intention to harp on you for putting out great content.
Dennis is right. You have to read the wording carefully. The satyr children troop card says that they "can only be recruited by dionysus," but other units who provide free troops such as the dragon of thebes, arachne, and pan state that getting them for free is the only way to recruit them. I'm assuming players who choose units such as these, have precedence to those units and so, that is the only way to recruit them.
@@riverOfWinds It has been stated in FAQs that the saturs can only be used by Pan... But its everyones game, so its free to use whatever rules one like
And you're right, flying units cannot ignore block unless they do a complex action in the v1.5. So now they can't claim and fly in the same turn. I think it's a good thing. Flying units where a little bit too powerful in v1, and block units where not that interesting because if you combine all the block & flying units, most of the units couldn't be blocked.
Great playthrough! I think Dionysus could have died earlier if the second player would have focused him instead of destroying other units. But Dyonisus could also have won earlier if the omphalos was put on his base instead of on the floor.
Friend. When will you making another MBP battle report? Such an odd choice of map considering the person on the right has such an advantage. I hope you post another battle report on a map that’s neutral... or well, balanced for both teams.
With the Satyr Children, the troop card only has 1 mini w/2 activation cards listed, so my interpretation is that you can choose 1 mini+2 activation cards, 2 minis+4 activation cards, or 3 minis with 6 activation cards, and they can only move 1 unit and pull 1 unit per activation. I just got the game and am only starting to get in to the rules but would that make sense?
It does make sense and that would be a fix for overpowered Dionysus. However, his dashboard says, that you can activate all 3 satyr children with a single activation card.
You totally make sense! But how exactly do you implement this choice? Dionysus' character board states that his owner recruits 3 units of the satyr children. Would you then decide how many to actually use in the game and build your deck based on that?
I don't get your interpretation at all. Dionysos card specifically says that you recruit three units. Not up to three. That means 3 models, each their own unit, with 6 activation cards to your deck. Dionysos card also specifically says that when you activate one of those three units, the other two can also activate without using any cards. So, the only choice is to take three units with one model in each, and six satyr children activation cards to your deck. The only thing mitigating dionysos' strength here would be the six satyr children cards clogging up your hand. I think they played it correctly, includingt taking six satyr children cards, which can be seen at the end of the video. In this game, the satyr children are still only pulling one unit per activation. The children are doing one activation each, as stated by dionysos' dashboard.
This is very much: i act, you act. Not much planning d:( Why was the Python recruited into Dio's team ? With the satyr children, opponent wont win by absorbing
And the armies were chosen to showcase our newly painted minis and be somewhat equal in power. So that is why I took python. And btw he's actually quite good at defending and I wanted to combo his bite ability with satyr children
