My grandmother grew up in the military Forts on the Missouri River in Dakota Territory. Before she died, she was having hallucinations mostly about her childhood and young life . She was in a hospital in Mandan ND , she could see the reconstructed block house's Fort MacKeen . She started talking as if she were there. She said, "Look at all of those buffalo, I can't see the end of them. Now there won't be any grass for months and we won't be able to use the water from the river for weeks, it will be nothing but mud . She was disgusted about that. Apparently the Buffalo had a huge impact .

There was a thought in southern Idaho that creek willows had to go because of the water they used. The reality is that the willows acted as a " plug" to hold water in adjoining meadows. When the willows went the tremendous trout fishery went with it due to lack of cover the willows also prevented evaporation of creek water. Makes one sad to think one will not catch those 4& 5 lb. Trout l heard stories about.

Great content Trinity. This is why the west is having an increased problem with beetle killed trees. If we don't manage the number of trees, lack of sufficient water to each tree, no sap produced which would kill the beetles, beetles kill the trees. Beetles kill the trees , more intense fires , higher insurance costs because of greater loss. It will affect everyone eventually.

I wouldn’t necessarily agree that these lessons or myths are taught and spread in college. Many are currently being spread by influencers and social media. Previously it was magazines, editorials, and even books. Reputable colleges are based off of facts and research proving or disproving theories. Colleges that do a bad job of getting their students to retain and understand the facts get a bad reputation. Their students may have graduated and a diploma but it doesn’t mean they are well educated. Those students generally aren’t that successful and end up stagnant career, or working outside of their field studied. We must always question the accuracy of information, reputation of the teacher or elder, and whether the curriculum is based on facts. Just because someone wrote a book, doesn’t mean that it’s factual. Same as influencers, editors, etc. they are only as good as the facts they present, unless they are entertaining, then we have to be critical of how serious to take the information they provide. A person can have an amazing career and life without college or tech school. It all depends on how hard that person works and what profession they want to have. College should not be looked at as something all people need to go to and graduate. For many professions it’s a waste of money and time, people may have an opportunity to learn what they need to by a mentor, or a few classes, or even a great set of videos. Much of the mythical things and crazy ideas being talked about as being taught in college is simply false. A good college teaches facts and how to think critically, not what to think. Just Say’n 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Fires. Almost every area of the west burned at least once every 20 years. When you burn a forest often, the fire keeps the undergrowth ( fire fuel load ) down. The fires are not as catastrophic because there isn’t as much to burn. Fires burn very fast and not as hot.

The problem with the Yellowstone willows wasn't elk, it was bison. Large areas of Yellowstone willows are not recovering after the wolf reintroduction. It's more the small willow areas what are improving. Still, with fewer elk, now NPS is raising the bison population numbers. It wasn't by nature, but an by the intention of NPS. Beaver are not a one-critter-fits-all solution. In some areas, beaver can take up all the water and little or nothing gets downstream. Also, during the plains bison era, bison were largely limited to areas near the rivers. Goodnight, and Lewis and Clark before him, traveled along rivers and from river to river for good reason, rather than moving from spring to spring. Some springs are seasonal. The distribution of bison was much more limited back then. Ranchers have built dams and redirected water to make much more of the landscape productive for livestock, and thus, wildlife. However, ranchers do not generally keep pipelines and irrigation year-round, so they limit the utility of vast areas to wildlife. Natural things are not simple. Love the information on teepee ring sizes relating to when horses returned to North America. The last known native horse was Equus lambei. It was pony-sized and disappeared with most of the Pleistocene megafauna.

I agree that college/university education is limited. Hands on and observation makes each of us working a land i.e. farmers, ranchers,, a scientist, really. I have a minor in biology ( been a teacher of science) and I know ecosystems are all different and they can change with environmental conditions. They have. We have seen that runoff from chemicals used by agriculture can destroy an ecosystem. . Yes, man has changed environment and ecosystems with irresponsible care of our earth. There is no debate on that. Responsible, regenerative farming is the best for the planet.

Love the video trinity, however, it is a little misleading to say that college today still teaches these myths about the natural world. It is more accurate to say that the general public has these myths ingrained from the past. Most of these myths resulted from out-dated ideas of the mid-20th century that the public has ran with. Not saying college is always right, but a lot of the time, they aren’t the ones spreading these myths. Or at least, the colleges that actually teach environmental classes based off of actual facts.

As long as the facts are facts. The issue is that when we find new truths, the old "facts" aren't being replaced. Then another issue is when new truths aren't facts! We are actually not very smart or knowledgeable. Most of the time, we are just bumbling through. Here is a fact: science has been more often wrong than right. It's just right until we find out that it is wrong. If science were right... engineers would never design parts that fail on cars... And yet... cars still break.
@youdonotseemeno3289
@youdonotseemeno3289 7 дней назад
That is a very fair point, it is always important to consider the biases of those who proclaim facts. Science is also always changing and evolving, looking for ways to prove its past self wrong. However, what I was trying to say is that most colleges teachings align with what is said in the video. Most ecology student understand why trees may not benefit certain environments, or natures inherent unpredictability. Ask any sustainable agriculture major on the benefits of pasture grazing, and you’ll be there the whole week! To blame college for the spreading of these myths are simply untrue, or in the very least, leaving vital information out of the equation.

business by-law officers and other political officers came to a farm and asked the owner if they could inspect his farm, he thought he must comply to the legal artificial political personnel, so he volunteered to allow them to do their business on his property. for a few years they proceeded to accuse him of things he was doing are wrong, not to their liking and that he should do it the way they wanted, having to buy new things and changing building structures etc... he did everything they wanted. they then ordered him to shut the farm down, he had been running for over 40 yrs, never causing anyone any criminal intent, never causing damage and injury to anyone growing potatoes. so he got very angry at the legal by-law officer, just to act arrogant and totally mean, she said to him; if you had not allowed us on your property we would not have been able to do anything. the whole financial corporate legal civil political system, it's departments and services are businesses, that are only voluntary! is the financial legal corporate system trying to hide that they are a business, that is only voluntary! should any corporation, business, service, have authority to force anything to do business in their "jurisdictional by-law authority" it's codes, rules? mcdonalds,? wendy;s? the corporate health department? the polls department? the lobbying department? licensing department etc... it's president and stock holders? popeye's chicken, it's stock holders? force your children to act as a slave to any corporation, business, service? this is what hitler did, stalin, lenin etc... the birth certificate is a corporate legal business, signed by the corporate registrar general, used as legal jurisdictional authority over any child and it's property, that has one. when any business wants to trick anyone to volunteer to their jurisdictional authority in their business, ask them to put in writing and send it to you. just state you do not want their business service, they may take you to court, before a jury of men and woman, with proof, state why you do not need the business service they offer. creatively remove the understanding(standing under) volunteering, consent into slavery, choose to be creatively free. people together or on their own, could go to jury court, showing proof why they do not volunteer what criminals, the corporate business legal political financial system and it's acts and statutes, laws are doing. using the tools of jury court, can help them do it. all lawyers have signed a contract with their corporate law society, policing themselves, to defend it's business first, never able to defend anything else, real people; men, women, children and nature, as lawyers say it; it's a conflict of interest. corporate businesses never have jurisdictional authority over it's creators, men, women and children, only if they volunteer, under-stand, consent, any consent can creatively change instantly. there are 3 courts; one is the corporate court, with judges where corporate businesses are prosecuted, the corporate birth certificate, signed by the registrar general, an corporate artificial person, is used. the second is superior court, with judges, where businesses, the corporate birth certificate, corporate artificial persons are recognized and also the rights of any real life man, women, child and nature, only when they order the judge to recognize them, the registration of birth, signed by real life father and mother, when they have a child, is recognized. the third is jury court, free from judges, corporations, business laws, codes, acts and statutes. in a jury court there are only real life men and women! when anything is causing damage and injury to any real life men, women, children and nature, they must take the proof and use it to make a case, only take it to a jury court of their peers, real life men, women, children and nature is recognized. people can get together, have some food, music fun and create a case against anything that is causing them, their family, children, friends damage and injury to a jury court of their peers, have fun doing it. if anything can cause a jury damage and injury, especially their children, men they will order it stopped and removed.

Yeah unfortunately no matter how much we preach about righteousness greedy mankind will continue to destroy their surroundings & everyone in it for their own selfishness mainly benefitting a few very few people! Jehovah God says though I will destroy those destroying the earth! And he will return the eRthback to a paradise. This is how he intended it to be for mankind kind & the meek will inherit the earth! ❤😊❤❤😊

have all farmers stop subsidizing, using tax payers money to subsidize the corporate artificial persons losses, legally(corporate codes, acts and statutes) they had milk from united states sent to jamaica so they could sell milk and products cheaper then the farmers so they could destroy the jamaican farms, to buy the farm land up cheap, sent the milk at a loss from united states, yet subsidized by taxes at a profit.

contract evolved into a system To have a contract one must have full-disclosure, know what you are signing. it must be beneficial, if it’s not beneficial it will destroy the contract, the contractor, suicidal? It must also have consent. These are an impossibility when everything is always creatively changing. If a woman gives consent to a man to have sex with him, does that mean the man can have sex with her any place, anytime, anywhere, anyhow, or can her consent creatively change? Of course it can! the legal political system needed to make the illusion that a contract can have full-disclosure, have consent, and be beneficial always. the illusion of a system, a place where everything is always the same, where nothing ever creatively changes, a dead pool of water? it’s totally delusional, a lie. look at everything in life, everything is always creatively changing, your hair, your movement, the leaves on trees, oceans, streams, lakes, air, clouds, all life. try to do anything the same again? is the weather the same? people in same place? stars the same? a system is totally impossible, so is a contract. all contracts can get cancelled, just need to learn how, show your children.

The evidence is there that a lot of the features on earth were created very fast by a great flood, as seen in the Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon is evidence of a long, slow process of erosion over thousands of years.

Straw man video. I did not hear any of these myths in college, in fact I heard the complete opposite of a couple of them. By way of constructive suggestion, stick to ranching videos; they are excellent and informative. You get way out over your skis when you start talking politics, macroeconomics, education, etc.

Great video 'lesson' Trinity sir... Personally liked the section covering grazing practices. Seems similar to AMP grazing which an uncle taught us 'many moons' ago. It's awesome imo.. And how you explained the management in much more depth regarding all the other regional grazers & browsers, I think that was awesome! 💯 🥸🐊
