After I started a biologic medicine for lupus, I started getting chronic yeast and bladder infections. My GYN kept giving me antibiotics and I finally got fed up and went to a urologist. She gave me vaginal estrogen cream, and that was the end of both infections. Apparently, with my severely depleted, postmenopausal hormones, the new medication was the last straw and tipped the scale, causing all my difficulties. What a difference a little estrogen makes!
When I was 44 yrs old I started to get UTI’s all the time and very uncomfortable when riding my bike. The same thing happened to me! My doctor never suggested vaginal estradiol 🤦♀️ Now I’m 51 years old and have been on Divigel for 3 1/2 years and haven’t had any problems since.
