I've been seeing this game everywhere in ads and reviews but this is the first I've actually clicked on for it. love the vibe of the game and the art and I have really started exploring the solo game world since my game group has had scheduling troubles so I'm debating heavily on this one. Thanks for the review!
I love open world games, but I passed on this one. Ultimately I felt the grind from reviews before the end of the Kickstarter campaign and the theme didn't grab me either. Hearing more reviews now, I think I made the correct decision. Glad you love this game. Nice and balanced review, as always.
The art looks gorgeous on this one, and I love the individual trays for each character. Games that get that organization aspect right make me wonder why every game can't do that.
Bailey on After Evenfall very aptly calls cozy games for a session before bedtime "lullaby games" - and Mythwind has been the perfect incarnation of that for me. I think I'd actually prefer to play a daily round of it with a partner over solo even without the Friends & Family expansion from the new KS, but that is going to make interactions lot more worthwhile.
If the expansion adds a lot of player interaction then I would actually be really interested in playing this one multiplayer. But without that interaction, I think this plays best as a solo game! ❤️
