I have recently made some investment in purchasing a new Motorola MotoTRBO SLR 5700 DMR Repeater. This is replacing the Yaesu Fusion DR-1X repeater. This is the PART 1 - Install and Setup video - part of a multi-part series.,

Are you familiar with how to set up users on the repeater if you were to use it stand alone? Since you're part of a network with your machine, I believe that information filters down from the "master" repeater on the C-bridge. I'm wondering how to set up users/radio ID numbers for a stand alone repeater.

Since the repeater is joined with a cbridge network, the user access controls flow from the "master".

Sorry, I only have limited hands-on experience setting up an analog mode on this repeater. Unable to help answer. But, a good place to start is with your vendor, they should be able to assist

Hi Wilfredo Ortega, I am not sure which feature link you're referring to. There are at least 2 choices to connect repeaters to a network. CBridge being one of them. But, again, it's not clear what you are looking to solve. So my comment may not be all that helpful.

Can this repeater be programmed with CPS Version 16 or is it 2.0 only?

For sure the earlier version of cps 1 (v16). Not sure abt CPS 2. It should be doable. But, please do confirm.

@@N0AGI Do you know what Firmware version you have on this repeater? I think I read that anything newer than R02.09.00.13 will not work with CPS16.

@@AmericanZ28 good point - that is an accurate statement. I dont recall what version of fw is on my repeater to be honest. I could try to go into RDAC s/w to remote connect to the repeater via the cbridge to determine qhat fw ver I have. I wont be able to do that at the moment though.

Dmr. Repeaters don't use duplexers. They use time slot one and two.

you still need duplexer if you intend to use only 1 antenna for both Rx and Tx.

Shaheedan Abdul Wahab shouldn’t it be able to receive on time slot 1 and transmit on time slot 2? The Blackbox Lunchbox repeater does this and I’m surprised more repeaters don’t do that

@@Nicksperiments No, time slot is a way of holding two conversations at once on the same frequency. You still need to isolate the receiver and transmitter from each other.
