@@mjohnson2807There isn't much that I'd say Melee is superior in Ultimate for... But picking a low tier is definitely one of them. Reject one trick ponies. Return to monke
I was there for this set life at the venue. Looking back I realize that in this small span of time. Me, some random person I’ve never seen before, and about 1000 other people I don’t know were rooting for June. We collected together to root for this fucking monkey to win that makes me realized how fucking special this game can be man. One union cheering for a mid tier character and brought everyone joy. Donkey Kong. Thank you.
@@soulrebellion I wouldn't quite go as far as saying he's on Samus's level, though I do agree that the current tier list undervalues him. I'd prolly put him on par with Ganon. If Junebug and others keep tinkering with DK, I could totally see him rising higher in the future, but right now, the Mario Bros and Ganon all have the advantage of having years of development and being treated as at least moderately viable, which is something that DK lacks.
@@MuhzzyI feel like Magi was so focused on maximizing her combos that she couldn't see that Junebug was rolling behind her everytime to get off the corner. It was a bit frustrating to watch ngl
dude i fucking love n0ne, if you don't know n0ne, check out his channel, dude is an absolute beast and hilarious entertainer. Pro af at melee too. Love you n0ne. Big supporter and follower of him, absolutely beast.
@@plabcentral630 lol I don't think most Melee fans hate all the other games. I even think Ultimate is overall the better game just factoring in the sheer amount of content and features. N64 is still fun, Subspace Emissary in Brawl was cool, and SSB4 introducing 8 player games was sick. I'd just choose Melee over them for spectating almost every time.
@@plabcentral630 i feel like this mindset (from melee POV) has gone down quite a bit since ultimate. Brawl and smash 4 were soooo different and because of the context of melee's relationship with Nintendo, people interpreted those games as Nintendo saying "fuck the way you want to play." Ultimate being a significantly closer experience (albeit reaaaally different) coupled with melee's player base generally growing up lead to less toxic melee discourses
You could see the tournament experience kicking in on that last stock. One a bit rattled. The other knowing this is the moment and going for the kill without hesitation. One of those things that can only be learned through experience.
@@ZakairSevenfold Probably true. I watched it again and maybe I read into it too much, but I still see the difference in composure. Am I seeing things? The alternative view is simply "difference in solidness of execution".
I love none, but he’s getting worse and worse every tournament. Son needs to stop the slippi content and chisel his gameplay. He’s going for the worst follow ups after a low percent grab like full hop knee 🤦🏾♂️ and on DK at that He did his thing tho but sheesh this shoulda been an easy 3-0
Not an easy 3-0 and probably still would have lost had some tiny things been different. Yet, I will agree with you that none has been on a decline for quite a while now. He’s just falling behind in general
