Amazing work. Have you done a coolant pump and thermostat replacement DIY on an E90 with N43 (mine is 2008 318i)? Do you need access from above, below or both? Thanks.
I haven’t done it myself, but instructions state that engine should be raised with the engine support bar and the pump can then be removed from the bottom.
I haven't. From what I can read on the internet it's best to replace the whole cover with OEM. But if you are DIY-er, then it might be a good option to just replace the diaphragm. I would not replace it unless you have symptoms of a bad CCV.
Yes, just make sure you get it from a reputable german company. Price is about 140 - 200 EUR. Or try to get a good used one if you are willing to repeat the process if it goes bad:)
