You can fix can that ps3. Download the update from the Sony website. Copy the firmware onto a usb-stick in the right folders! Turn on your ps3 with the usb connected. Update the firmware......done...after that format the HD and install everything

Looks like you need to replace the hard drive and then do the recovery process again. Hopefully it's just a bad drive and nothing to do with the internal nand. I got a Ps3 that would randomly freeze or not boot very fast and replacing the drive with an SSD sorted it out perfectly. 👍

I picked up an N64 with controller etc and super Mario 64 for £10 at a car boot about 2 years ago. I had to restrain myself and seem like that was totally normal as I handed over the tenner 😉

For the ps3: download a ps3 update and put it on a flash drive (fat32) go to recovery mode and install the update from the usb. You can search tutorials for more details :)

Amazed how many physical fifa games you can find at car boot sale. Only worth now for spare game cases. Which done couple of times now getting cheap copy of fifa and just reusing the case.

I think ebay and the internet in general has kinda ruined the fun of game hunting at the bootfair. Its really hard to find good stuff now and any time u do people want silly money for it.

Hi remove hard drive from PS3 format on PC to Fat32 then format USB thumbdrive to Fat 32, put Hard Drive back in PS3 or replace with bigger Hard Drive space thats what I done and make sure formatted to Fat32. Create folder on root of USB thumbdrive called PS3 then create another folder inside PS3 folder called UPDATE, important to name the folders all in uppercase as its case sensitive. Then download firmware update from Sony Playstation website for PS3. The file should be a PUP file, once downloaded put inside UPDATE folder on USB thumbdrive. Insert USB thumbdrive into PS3 then go to settings > system update, then update from storage media. Select the USB thumbdrive and launch update then you should be good to go. Sorry if long winded ended up an essay lol. Hope it all works out and keep up the good videos, I enjoy your videos alot :)

If hard drive is damaged, then it might be good idea to replace it with new and larger hard drive. Shadow of Memories is really nice one. I liked the ability to go back in time and sometimes travelling to the future to solve problems!

The PS3 can easily be fixed by downloading the latest PS3 firmware and putting it onto a memory stick here are the steps 1. Download firmware from from Sony's website just Google PS3 firmware. 2. On your PC Create a folder called PS3 3. Create a second folder within the PS3 folder and call it UPDATE 4. Place the PS3 firmware which is called PS3UPDAT.PUP into the UPDATE folder 5. Now copy the PS3 folder onto a USB stick which has to be formatted as fat32 I believe. 6. Once the PS3 is on and your on the error screen press and hold START and SELECT and just follow what's on the screen and you should have a PS3 working in no time.

If you have any problems following what iv said I just searched how to manually update PS3 on RU-vid and Google and found lots of solutions to fix your problem. Hope this helps 😁

Also you may have a faulty HDD and your best bet is to buy a cheap 2.5 HDD from CEX I bought a value Xbox 360 slim hard 120gb for £6 as it worked out cheaper than buying 2.5 HDD on its own but you do have to take the HDD out of the case, i put mine into a PS3 along with the usb stick in the front usb port followed the on screen instructions and I had a working PS3 in no time.

In the US N64s go for around $90 with only 1 controller and no games so for our standards that was an awesome deal for $30

Great to see the boot fairs back open in the uk 😎 nice pick ups too.. with the wii u games you have to be a bit careful, as some won't run even though they have no scratches on them and are mint (something to do with a faulty with the manufacturing process, a very common example was the mario party and luigi wii u version) The ps3 looks like it needs a new hard drive. Your best bet to get a ssd, and download the official software, hope this helps...keep on hunting!!

Shadow of Memories in that box of XBox games 10 minutes in is solid. It’s a really weird time travel game by Konami where you solve puzzles by visiting several different time periods in the same town.

Back years ago when I worked for an Indie games shop we used to buy preowned off of people that were badly scratched but paid a lot less and sent them for resurfacing. The issue with centre cracks is that they can cause the disc to shatter in the drive without warning. Speed of the drive and temperature are a factor, Chips are ok but cracks were always a write-off and we wouldn't buy them. It may be fine but I wouldn't feel comfortable selling it on unless the buyer knew the risks. Great Vid - 50k on the horizon.

6:25 OMG. Competition Pro pad! You should have picked it up if it was cheap and Amiga compatible one (looks like it had Atari connector, so I think it was). Not only it has a great features but it's also crazy expensive on Ebay listings last time checked.

PS1 demos on eBay go for about 5-10 quid each depending on what’s on it. I used to get them for like a quid each with the magazine down the market back in the early 00s. ☹️

I would have had a punt on that n64 for 30 as with controllers working ones are worth about 60-70 on ebay. I have a video on how to update ps3 consoles using fat32 formatted usb prn drive and hard drive connected to pc you just need formatting software - I always use gui fat32 formatter. Its a shame the crystal xbox was battered as they go for a pretty penny on ebay. You did great at the car booty and I'm hoping to get to my local one this weekend. Try finding 3.55 ofw for it cos then it will allow cfw to be installed.

new hard drive get the firmware on flash drive plug in install firmware through recovery menu should be good as new i just bought a fat ps3 and jailbroken it planning on changing the thermal pads and paste on the cpu and rsx chips so it runs cooler but nice buy

Oh neat, carboots are back! I know a friend who goes to those, I wonder if he's gone to any yet..anyway, that PS3 issue isn't too difficult to remedy, I'm confident that you will figure it out ASAP! You always do! Or at least it looks like you always do! I finally bought Spider-Man Miles Morales on PS4! It's eligible for a PS5 upgrade yay! Made me realise how much I love car boots. In my experience (In regards to gaming), I usually find crap or stuff's overpriced (one games seller at my local car boot would literally check CEX prices on his phone if you asked about a game). But..... that hope of of finding a bargain/rare/quality retro game would always get me going back...And to be honest, the fun is in the searching (rather than the actual find) anyway 😀

Did you pick up the story regarding the CMOS debacle in the ps3 and ps4 where if the battery dies and no connection to psn it will render digital games unplayable on the ps3 and on ps4 it also affects physical games?

The issue effects PS5 also but not as bad appently. If you go on Doesitplay1 Twitter they have a detailed post and PDF regarding the CMOS (#CBOMB) issue

@@farkque2 ps4 is the worse. Hope Sony fixes it they are also not closing ps3/vita stores after gamers complaining.

@@BENVAFabri that's great news about the stores but I really hope the cbomb issue is addressed and patched out soon or at least as an end of life firmware update when and if the servers go in the future, if servers go a Jailbroken PlayStation can get around this issue but it's not something a normal end user should have to do or understanding of how to do it to play old games thankfully for me I know how to do it or follow a tutorial if I don't, I know many won't care in 20 or 30 years time but I care about game preservation the right to repair and the investment iv spent on a console I'm not spending thousands of pounds for it to just mean nothing an worthless in years to come and depend on new sltech to support it. I know piracy modding and hacking exist but it's not the route I would like to take. Gaming is in my blood and still to this day I play anything from the NES and Master System as I love retro and upto the latest consoles as I really enjoy modern games too 😁.

@@BENVAFabri Sony fixed the ps4 once you update to the new update but if the CMOS battery dies you cant tell which date you earned your trophies at least you can still play it tho
