You usually only need a single strand across the break and then solder will gladly ball up to bridge the gap. Works great for restoring contact pads that broke right at the solder mask. Just create a small pad at the back of the contact by covering the rest with kapton tape, remove some solder mask on the other side, tin both sides, and introduce a single strand of wire to encourage your solder to blob across. Works great!
Nice to see you releasing videos again. I got a lot like this the other week. Was able to get most of them working. I did a board swap on one, but it stops playing after like 5 mins.. not sure what's going on with that. But like your vids man!
Hey, Just a heads up in-case you don't know. Soaking the rust in white vinegar for an hour or two will eat it away and you can salvage the shielding and a few games! saves a lot on grinding too. Just make sure to IPA the heck out of it afterwards!
