The habs fans in montreal aren't cocky there just drunk and passionate about hockey ... If you watch soccer they do the same thing and in soccer. the team will be winning by 1 gaol and they still sing . France is a European country soccer is a European sport , The French settled in Quebec see the connection. Sorry bout the misunderstanding. And if anything the loudness and shit usually gets a team going .
I was there and we started Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey good bye cause a maple leafs fan got kick out from the Bell center. No body knows that cause we wouldn t sing good bye when it still 4minutes in game remaining. That was funny though how maple leafs fan were happy to see their team come back am glad the Habs won in shootout nice shot by camalleri good game LEAFS SUCKS :D
you shouldnt not be happy you just shouldnt over celebrate a victory against a shit team...A team should win the games they are supposed to win and when they do it shouldnt be a big deal, but when a team wins a game they are supposed to lose, that is when the fans should be cocky and chant stupid chants.
I am also not one for starting early chants, just like fans in Vancouver started chanting Miller's name in the gold medal game and 5 seconds later the US scored. Still, I find it funny that this video doesnt include the final outcome of this game, lol. As for oichakdephatay, jealousy isnt such a great characteristic
I always hate it when the Habs fans start singing this...well when there's like a minute left, yeah I sing along. But they'll start at the 10:00 minute mark of the third sometimes. I just think "STFU ten minutes is more than enough time to make a comeback"
@ wiz11112 come on people like you are the problem in the stands, who just sit their and dont even make a noise...its a sporting event, let them cheer....i guess thats why Canada as a whole needs a commercial from a company like Pepsi to teach them what and how to cheer.
Haven't won a playoff since 2004, EIGHT straight potential series clinching games lost. Choked on a 4-1 lead in the final game of the First Round 2013 vs B's (who choked hard themselves vs Chicago in the finals). Lost to a zamboni driver. Choked up 5-1 against the Ottawa Senators. And, most recently as of the time of writing, choked a 3-1 series lead vs. Habs (came back Game 5 and Game 6 because we were up first but blew both of those comebacks). Hasn't won the Cup since '67. Like how more cursed can a team get?
@oichakdeyphatay I'm a habs fans...yet I agree with you that trashing hometown for a hockey game isn't a proof of mental stability, booing national anthem either, but you got to live here to understand the impact of having such a loser team with so much glorious days...it's like if yankees suddenly sucked for over a decade and owners wouldn't do anything to fix it...that's how we feel here...and I wouldn't be a good habs fan if I don't say... Leafs sucks :P
@RG32hockey yeah...but only the people from quebec...like quebec. THE GOVERNMENT and the rest of Canada have two different views of how we feel about you. The ONLY reason the government should not want you to separate is because now we need to go through customs and other bullshit (thanks to Que) to get to the East Coast. They pick the capital of a country after they establish a government. Quebec is alot like buffalo...canada's armpit.
enjoy living in the past and celebrating cup wins you never witnessed.I'll live in the present and support the team closest to my geographic location ie "the home team," and their +65 lucky goal differential, their first place spot in the division and eventually the conference, and just for you, i will also enjoy defending the stanley cup that they will definitely make a run at winning again. cheers douche!
lame. you can live in the past all you would like but the only thing you will have to hold onto those teams by is what you were not even alive to see. Being a fan sucks if you have nothing to cheer about. Do they throw parties and hold Parades in Canada for all the cups they won 100 years ago? If not then what is the point of clinging to the past so hard like you are doing? Why not put pressure on your teams to unsuck? and a +65 goals differential is no string of luck, its called dominance.
@AndyG0027 I said both teams suck because right now, the only time that matters, they do. I don't care to live in the past. It's great that they may have won all sorts of cups back when, but if you were not around as a fan to enjoy them, then who the hell cares? All it says is once upon a time the team "used" to be good. I could give 2 shits about what the B's did 100 years ago. What matters to me is what have they done for me lately. The answer is, win a cup and they are a threat to win another
@AndyG0027 I wouldn't discount cups, it is fine and dandy that the organization once won all these cups but the fact is, owners change, players retire, rules change, and you have a new generation of fans. Hockey then and hockey now are almost two completely different games. You can't compare guys like Alex O to Gretzky. What if Messier and Gretz had no 2 line pass rule? How many more goals might they have scored? The only thing that remains is the name of the team, league, and city it plays in
@AndyG0027 As a 15 plus year Bruins, Patriots, and Redsox fan, I'm pretty sure I know what its like to suffer through my team's heartbreak moments and dry spells. Picking my teams was simple for me, I grew up in south east CT so, I will follow the the team nearest my location which were all Boston with one exception. The first year I got into hockey was the Hartford Whalers final season in CT. I had no attachment to the team and It was too hard to follow them as a 13 year old. So i picked the Bs
If you are a Habs or a Leafs fan, would you be satisfied that your team has won all or almost all of it's cups before you were born? The point of being a fan is celebrating the ups with your team and holding them and management accountable when they suck. If the B's won 25 cups before I was born and none until I was 65, I would be pretty upset. I don't care how they played 100 years ago, I want to know if the money and time I spend watching them is worth it. New England sports has come through.
@supermaverick12345 Versteeg, Kessel, Phanuef as Captain, Armstrong, plus Tomas kaberle via trade= ????? who knows yet we''ll find out Sunday who the player is but yea the leafs will make the playoffs in 2011. I know we hear this a lot but as a Leafs fan i sense something that hasnt been there in a Loooong time finally :) Id say good luck Habs, No cinderella story this year. Actually Toronto is gonna be the next Cinderella story...you watch
@drgnslayers One thing that the Leafs fans can be proud of is that the Leafs has the highest team value of all the NHL teams, even though they didn't make the playoffs in the last 5 years. I don't boo the national anthems, players who get severely injured unless it was a vicious hit against a Habs player and Carey Price when he goals like a Fisher Price toy. I admit that they chanted too fast.
I hate to see this cause I'm a Habs fan but what a bunch of idiots... We used to sing that song in the Montreal Forum when we knew for sure that they were going to win but in recent history, anything can happen because most of the games are evenly matched. Also the canadiens are far from being sure to win any game, these days! Even after leading 4 to 2 with a minute to go!
@babaganuse Lol dude it's alright for you to be jealous... I understand. The only reason I fell on these videos was because I was looking up Metropolit, then found Komi"s hit on him, then this one... I'm sorry! When I saw your comment I just thought hey, that's the same douchebag from that other vid still jealous about our fans and thats pretty much it. Haters gotta hate
@LePtiMedia Habs won 10 stanley cups since 1967, none for Toronto, MTL made the playoffs 4 times in the last 5 years and not the Leafs... even though Toronto scored 3 times in 3rd period to win 6-5 in their last game of the season and send the Habs on vacations 3 years ago, just to see the NY Islanders win the next day and send them on vacations as well.
@thereggiecube It wasn't the Winter Classic. The WC is just US teams. They did play in the Heritage Classic, which is just Canadian teams, but they went with a pretty boring uniform for that. This game was during their 100th Anniversary season, in which they wore several throwback jerseys.
hate Habs fans? Habs fans are cocky? please get over yourselves... this is sports... every teams' fans are cocky to some degree! It's the joys of competitive sports. No fans are cockier, classier, stupider than others. Remember, there are assholes everywhere as much as class acts...
@AndyG0027 How many of those cups do you remember? in the last 20 years it looks like the the Habs have 1, leafs have none, and Bruins have 1. I personally don't give a crap about what a team did 100 years ago because I wasn't around to witness it.
It was sweet...in fact it was so sweet the Maple Leafs still managed to lose HAHA! they are terrible...terrible team, coach, GM, owner, trainer. EVERYTHING! They make me laugh hope the Bruins enjoy your first overall pick. Classic. GO SHARKS!
@crazyperson3245 I agree. The Bell Center is full at every game, is the biggest arena in the entire league, the Habs can celebrate a victory in a civilized game, we're passionate
habs fans think they are the best well this video shows how greedy they are you dont see any other teams doing this.anything can happen in the game of hockey
Ba Haaaaaaa! I just wish it wasn't the 2nd most annoying team in the league that shut them up...but don't forget that the Habs won this game in the end.
