Great - I'll have to pay a visit when the lockdown is over. I remember when the blue plaque was originally unveiled in the '90s; felt like a vindication of our music (rock & roll was still not regarded as "proper music", even then)

Like a lot of people, I bet, my relationship to Jimi Hendrix is like, in the movie Close Encounters, the relationship of all those people to Devil's Tower: they were obsessed by it, couldn't get enough, would risk anything to get closer to it. It was a gateway to things of a loftier nature that surpassed human understanding, and so IS Hendrix. I seek him out wherever I go, his name, his image, his music. Sounds like religion but it isn't; religion requires faith, requires a reverence for someone/something that YOU didn't see or hear. I SAW and HEARD, and thanks to RU-vid everyone else can, also. So, bask in his magnificence, my friends, there will never be anything else like Him.
