My mom has a drinking addiction and I’ve fallen far from my roots. My grandpa was a medicine man and this helped me come back to my roots. I cried through it all as it brought me comfort and hope for healing for my mother. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for posting your talent and your prayer through your singing. I was going through a rough time in my life a few years and I came across your video one night. When I heard you sing a sense of calmness came over me and I knew everything was going to be ok.I cried tears of hope knowing that I’ll be ok. You have a special gift through your singing and I am truly bless to have come across it when I needed the most. I still watch this video today and my eyes still wells up with tears every-time. My the holy people watch over you and your family, protect you, guide you and bless you in abundance from all directions. Thank you for your service as well
From one soldier to another. You've made possible the connection with my Native roots that I found difficult to follow. Listening to your voice really helps me feel my ancestors.

Natives dont have PTSD like other races do bc we heal our soldiers when they come home, we honor them & dont spit on them like other races but wish we wouldn't fight other indigenous people in Venezuela for the white people, we wont be able to heal from that.
Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing, and thank you so very much for your service! You have a beautiful voice. I pray you will be blessed and always safe. Love and blessings from a Cherokee brother in Ohio!
Beautiful singing. Reminds of the first time i sang in a meeting. It was the week before i left for the military. Thank you for your service, sacrifices, and songs. may the creator bless you and yours.
wow, i love your song, it seems to have a calming , trance like effect on you, I would love to hear the song done with all of your family involved in it. This song has more prayer and power in it than any other song i have heard in a while. Keep up the good work
Yes, Keep your heart and mind strong. There are days I miss home but I just keep pushing knowing that one day when I've accomplished what I want to accomplish I'll be heading home to stay & live. Blessings to you.
Beautiful. I started my learning at the feet of Black Elk many years ago. (his books and teachings). I've learned many things about being a human being since that spring day in a park near the ocean in San Diego. I am inspired and blessed whenever I see or hear one sharing true faith with others. It is a sacred time. Thank you.
Ya'at'teeh Abini'' ccchee71 from Oklahoma I love NAC songs I haven't been to one since OCTOBER of 2013 in concho Oklahoma but I still just set out a blanket and sit down and and pull out the gourd and start singing NAC songs that I been taught by my N-law family Sweezy's Arapaho and Dine''' songs and that's what I love to do besides Powwow's AHO''' ccchee71 for these songs

Nizhoni and Ahe'Hee for your beautiful songs and for your service. May our creator, mother earth and our holy people continue to watch over you sister.
First of all, I thank you so much for your service!! I loved your singing. I always wanted to be brave enough to sing songs. I play NAC music all the time to remind me of home. I live in Canada ...your singing eased some of my loneliness.
Thank you for your kind words. I started out singing peyote songs by listening to peyote music then slowly the songs started to stick. So I look forward to hearing you sing one day. I know how you feel I'm away from home myself and it's not easy but I'm glad you found some comfort by these songs. Be Blessed.
Beautiful music to my ears. Nizhoni and Ahe'hee for your songs and also for your service. May our creator, mother earth and our holy people continue to watch over you sister. Your music has inspired me to start singing again. Moving away from home, my parents, and grandparents I have lost my passion in singing. Hearing your beautiful voice brings back many joyous memories around the fireplace with my relatives. I want to thank you for sharing your songs and giving me that motivation. God bless you and your family. Aho!
Thank you for sharing those words with me. I too sometimes get away from practicing my songs but then I remember it's my only connection to home. I am happy that you've decided to take back to your singing and maybe one day we'll meet on the peyote road, Aho.
You have a beautiful voice. It makes me so happy to see you took your gourd with you, thats really awesome. Its not everyday you see one wear their uniform and sing/pray in beauty. Thank for you for services and sharing this video with us. May God continue to be with you and bless you always.
Beautiful sister, makes us mothers being single parents, over sea, or even trying to get by strong. Touched my heart of becoming the strong medicine that Creator and Mother earth wants us to be. many blessing A'ho

Thank you for your service Spc. Chee. I myself am Dine, I have served in the Marine Corp, and I'm a Veteran as well. I have fought for my people and country in 2003. Semper Fi.
I listen to this video day after day. I've been away from NAC for a long while; now that I've slowed down some, I want to pick up singing these songs. Been practicing but need help with pronunciation. I recorded myself without a rattle and drum and my voice sounds shakey. Maybe one evening I'll get to sit in the same Tee Pee sharing a night of blessings. I just want to say Thank You for sharing your wonderful talent. And Thank You for your service, it is a great nation because of Men & Women like you 😊
I appreciate that you take the time to listen to these songs and I thank you for your comment. As long as you practice strengthening and controlling your voice in time I'm sure your voice will become great. I'll see if I can make a video where I pronounce the words a little better for you. I look forward to when we'll be able to sit and sing in the same teepee.
hi ccchee71, i studied world music at wesleyan university with a david park mcallester, who lived many years in navajo communities in the 1940-1960s.. david wrote many articles and books on the music and culture, including a landmark work on enemyway music. he worked with many people, including his friend, mr. frank mitchell (otta'i tsoh, 1881-1968), a singer for many cerermonial occasions including blessingway. frank was born near wheatlands, arizona, and passed away in 1968 in ganado. david taught many people the beauty of navajo and other native american cultures. many of the elders may remember frank and david, who passed away on 2006. his family still lives in monterey, massachusetts. i thought you might like to know how many people have come to appreciate native american music and how it has touched our lives. in spirit and music, royal hartigan
Thank you, thank you, thank you. For singing the song that reminds me of my grandfather. He would be so proud. He would be so happy to hear your beautiful voice expressing those feelings. Thank you! I'm forever grateful to you because this song brings me so much peace and love.

Ya'aht'eeh. Nizhoní shił baahozhoo. My son and I have been learning song after song for the past 5 yrs. I was raised with the Native American Church. My Cheii is a road man and I was never really taught Navajo. And through the songs and teachings thru my Cheii, I am able to teach my son. My son ties drum along with my companion. Ahe'hee for these beautiful songs. I learn to repeat a song to get it down so I can sing them solo also. Continue with your beautiful songs! You sing them so beautifully! Nizhoní.
