I share your pain, man. Modern kits are just agonizing to assemble. It was very refreshing to put together a gripping beast minis kit of archers and all I had to do was put heads on bodies. It was heaven.
I was browsing peoples custom colours for the voidscarred trying to find something I had in mind, and this is quite close to what I was wanting to try for mine. Your colour scheme is really cool. I think because they are basically just a group of factionless individuals, that an overall neutral colour scheme would work a bit more, and you could even give each of them a bit more individuality by adding different colours on bits of armour. Your painting is really good too, they came out looking awesome.
