This poem was written by John Murray in memory of his Mum. I am very grateful to John and his family for sharing it with me and giving their permission for me to use it.
Bonded By Love written by John Murray
Hearts that are broken through tears that you cry
A kiss, warm and tender, as you now say goodbye
As sweet angels came calling, our paths had to part
Those memories I leave you, now locked in your heart
As I reach up to heaven, they’ll give me the key
To unlock all those memories, come share them with me
Rest your eyes, as you’re sleeping, our worlds will be one
A breeze strokes your face, through the warmth of the sun
Those fields, golden yellow, as we sit by a stream
As I now walk beside you, I will live in your dream
The night sky a wonder, as stars shine above
I will always be with you, we are bonded by love
