So we now have 268 tournaments with Nadu. That means we are starting to get an understanding of what is winrate from tournaments is but also what the recommended cards are.

Good analysis. I have been working on building Nadu considering the tournament data and the meta as it is today. The builds will have to evolve, they cannot stay with the same packages if they want to suceed. Simic has, in my opinion, various ways to win... and while Nadu provides incredible number of resources and advantage, we can make it so that we don't rely a 100% on the commander.

Lots of builds are utilizing Eternal Witness + Snap + Gaea's Cradle as a secondary combo, infinite mana to recast Nadu or have a relevant card in grave to use as/find an outlet

I've been using Ashaya + Q Ranger + something like Cobra or Nissa, I won most of the games with that combo, draw the deck, use finale or Walking Balista.

The answer is not recommended. Those 3 cards togheter combined you have 4 players that have done it. PLAY RATE of 4 decks. And a winrate of WINRATE: 15,79% Ashaya individualy have a winrate of 20,51% And quirion ranger has WINRATE: 23,72%

Nadu makes me wonder how all new commanders from the last 12 months do at tournys in thier first 2-3mths. Seeing them ranked and the comparison from the initial splash to where they are now.

I would love to know these cards: dispel/miscast witch one is better, into the flood maw vs chain of vapor, pongify?, pollywog (really curious about this one), displacer kitten, misdirection and force of vigor (the format feels super fast), invasion of ikoria seems super difficult to counter but I don't see it in all lists, eldritch evolution, cephalid coliseum allows you to win at instant speed but don't see it much, elvish herder and bristly bill seems super good value but maybe too slow. Thanks you for your fantastic videos, always really helpful.

Speaking of looking at Sisay and Nadu as somewhat similar, I actually really want to try brewing a Sisay list that functions as a 5c Nadu list as well. Or at least facilitates the Nadu package while also doing typical Sisay things.

I think nadu inside the 99 is going to be kinda common.

@@cedhtv I think so too. The package fits well into a lot of decks. I'm just not sure if Sisay is the best shell for it right now though. Maybe Kenrith or another bant commander.

Really great video! I'm slowly building my pool of cards for commander and some of them are quite expendive so in order to prioritize what to buy it would be interesting to see datas about how negatevly impactful is not having a specific card. For example gea's cradle is an auto include in every deck with green, but how bad is not having it?

That is hard to say as I don't have many decks that have played withot it. We need to have 2 groups to be able to see the difference between them. And in this case we have 100% include and 0% include in the other. So no can do on that one. Is there any other card you wanna know about instead?

What's your opinion on that in Nadu? Essential piece for the storm or a plus? Do you have datas or opinions about the pseudo cradles like Nyctos?

I play Nadu in Brawl, obviously a very different metagame than cEDH, but I find Vesuvan Duplimancy to be awesome there, particularly because I play tamiyo's safekeeping, dive down, snakeskin veil, etc. Are those protective instants played in the cEDH versions, and are they good? And is Vesuvan Duplimancy played? I imagine you probably focus more on abilities and not spells to trigger Nadu in cEDH, so maybe Duplimancy isn't useful. But having multiple Nadus on the board gets nuts in a hurry

It sounds kinda good. But I don't know. hard to say. it alredy wins kinda good. once it gets going. I think the cards people are going to opt towards are cards that are good when naud is in play but also when not in play.

In cedh, because you have 3 opps instead of 1, countermagic is favored for its versatility: protecting your own stuff and preventing (by countering) opps from winning, rather than protection + card advantage. Additionally, the protection spells require Nadu already in play, they don't help if opps are trying to counter Nadu.

Hummm I might have removed that data. I did look at at it but ignored it. I guess I can recreat it but now now. I do have data on Minamo, School at Water's Edge PLAY RATE: 86,9% WINRATE: 28,97% So it is good. I honestly think all target lands are auto include and that is way I just didn't keep that info. Play them they are good.

Alosuaras Shepard: play rate: 28% WINRATE: 20,13% Elvish Hearder: Don't know Sea King's Blessing: Don't know Eldritch Evolution: play rate: 74% WINRATE: 29,33% Winrate by land count. I don't know. I want to try and figure that out but it is really hard to do. My plan is to make a video that is trying to figure out that as an overall.

What’s the verdict on venerated rot priest? It’s a part of our local tournament meta in Denver but I’m not sure if it’s played much outside of that

I don't think I have much data on that card. Cool card actully. But haven't seen much action for tournament players.

You would have to play 30 instants or sorceries targeting your creatures. That's not going to happen on a Nadu storm turn until you've gone infinite. At that point, you are better off winning with Finale of Devastation, which is not a dead card. Basically, the same logic which suggest you shouldn't play Thoracle applies to rot priest

You brought up Wounded, will you make any videos about his tournament behavior? His "skill" involves distracting his opponents while they play, intentionally looking at hands as much as possible. Are you really better than the other players at the table if you interrupt them while they think and harass them about passing turn? Or play your deck for you? Ive heard awful stuff about him- Why not use Ian or someone for a better representative of skill AND behavior.

I am a supporter of rotpriest as last win con. I find it very efficient and it kills the table on a single spell (sea kings' blessing/paradise/the other blue instant that costs 2). Also gives a second purpose of being to spellseeker if you include it.
