The Sanken transistors used on this board are probably fakes, they are obsolete on the Sanken website. I have some 2SC5200's which I can swap for the Sanken's. I will run the tests again and hope for better results.
Lol. Thanks for the shout out. I miss the panda 🐼. It's a shame if those are counterfeit parts. One of the aggravating risks when building the chinesium kits I suppose.
Yeah. If we had the option, what components should be shipped with the diy kit from China, and what parts should we source ourselves? I would think there is some scale we should use for each type of component. Where some parts lands clearly you need a good source (chips, mosfets), and where you can accept wider tolerances in part quality. I would think some passive components would be okay, maybe resistors with large tolerances for example PSU part, you could get with the kit. But buy the precision resistors for the sound amp stage from a good known source. I think you get the idea.
For example imagine you're sitting at a piano you push one key that is your note now push two or three other keys at the same time those are your harmonics
