Another alternative is Nairobi - Thika - Mangu - Ol Kalou - Nakuru.
It’s the shortest route compared to the other routes 171 km. For the most part, it's decent apart from the section in between Mangu and FlyOver. This stretch has potholes and an offroad section. It was not too terrible but with a better tarmac, it would have been much better for sure. If you can somehow manage that then the rest is breezy. The video cuts off at Ol Kalou since the rest of the route is similar to Alternate route 1.
