Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Maxton Jake I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
The LX-5, LX-3 and several others including ZX-9, ZX-7 which had the classic transport, often developed hardened pinch roller arm grease. I've had to pull the roller arms off all my classic transport decks to replace the grease.
That's a good point to remember. Solidified grease seems to be a common problem on many systems from the early-80s back, and weirdly more common on higher-end machines. If you find yourself with a machine that won't move, checking for frozen grease is a very good first step before assuming you have to replace a motor.
I have a question I have a Nakamichi LX3 and the heads wont roll up and play. If I take the tape out it will FFW and Reverse but not play. I think I need a belt change and some cleaning .Do you have any links or advice on taking this on. I have had the unit for 35 years and I want to put it back in service again. Thanks in Advance Cheers
Hi there The grease in the transport gets stiff over time and the rubber rollers take time to get to the capstans if they do at all . Needs to be stripped and re lubed and re calibrated
