"Frank... drugs..." "Nurse! Can't you see this man's in pain!? Get him some drugs!" "No Frank, heroin" 'That's a pretty tall order but I'll see what i can do..."
Interesting fact - They played this theme under Leslie Nielsen's funeral in 2010. Sad, but extremely fitting, as people said he was a very funny man in real life.
Gotta love that swing. A terrific soundtrack by Ira Newborn to one of the best comedy franchises. RIP Leslie Nielsen: one actor who always kept a perfect straight face
Without a doubt the most iconic theme heard in any 80's comedy considering that it was used in Naked Gun. Add to the fact that it was used during the opening for all three movies makes this theme even more iconic and unforgettable.
I was so depressed when Leslie died man that man was a straight up legend. I swear me and my dad would watch the naked gun in the basement. Rest in peace Leslie. Goodbye Police Squad
"I got a call that said she wanted me to meet her at the club right away. Since I didn't know where the Club Right Away was, I suggested the Club Flamingo."
"Police Squad!" was a spoof of the Lee Marvin "M Squad" of the late 1950s. The themes are very similar--that late '50's big band gangster-type music. "Anatomy of a Murder" from 1959 featured this type of music--by the late great Duke Ellington.
You know who would be some perfect people to do a legitimately funny sequel to the series? I would think Will Freidle, Scott Eastwood (Clint Eastwood's son), or Nolan North would be brilliant people to be Frank Drebin Jr. in the new series.
POLICE SQUAD! *IN COLOR* Starring Leslie Neilsen (as he almost get shot, he starts firing) Also starring Alan North (as the police station gets blown up, he also starts firing) With Rex Hamilton as Abraham Lincoln (John Wilkes Booth tries shooting him, but Abraham starts firing as well) And tonight's special guest (whoever is the unfortunate actor to get killed _in the opening credits!_ ) Tonight's episode: RING OF FEAR (Read by the narrator as: A DANGEROUS ASSIGNMENT!)

I watched the Naked Gun movies for the very first time last fall and I loved them. The reason why I watched them is because Priscilla is in them and I'm a really big fan of Elvis.
*Vincent Ludwig falls to his death, then gets steamrolled and trampled by the USC marching band* "Oh Frank, it's horrible. That's so horrible. My father went the same way."
Reading the movie quotes in this comment section is one of the wholesomest things I've witnessed in my lifetime... ...AND DON'T EVER LET ME CATCH YOU GUYS IN AMERICA!
Yo estoy riendo de leer los mensajes y de ver que no soy el único que se aprendió frases del gran Leslie Nielsen. El maestro siempre galán y siempre serio. Ajajaja
