I remember in the 90's when this video was playing on MTV. Di Leva was a guest on an MTV show, I think it was Most Wanted with Ray Cokes but I can't say for sure. At some point, during the show he requested 'Just Like Heaven' from The Cure. Although I knew the song and I had the "Kiss me Kiss me Kiss me" album it was the first time I saw the video. Good times...
This is truly terrible. I used to listen to this crap every day in 1993. What was I thinking? This is new age bullshit and painfully average music. Thanx god time passes. This whole video gives me creeps.
I've got full respect for him musically and as an artist, but I can't help feeling that he lost something here - the grit, nerve and despair that were an essential part of his earlier work. In order to make a shiny happy rainbow persona really interesting, you''ll add some darkness to it. It's the same with music. I remember watching him live in '91 and he scared the shit out of me.
I just heard of this guy. Is he trying to have creepy vibe? I have never seen anyone with a more wise and wonderful message with equal parts total creepy vibe. I would be scared to be alone with him, as much as I love what he's saying.
