Your videos are great for all ages! I'm 22 and would rather listen to you instead of most of these younger beauty gurus. Your techniques and product recomendations are really helpful and help protect the skin for the most part.
Angie, every time I come to your channel you get prettier and prettier. You are doing a great job with skincare and makeup. Thanks for all your help as you try things out.
Thank you, thank you for posting this. I picked up the Tarte primer after watching this video and I'm saved! Not only does it work very well (I was using Urban Decay before), the occasional eye irritation I was getting with UD has stopped completely. I thought it was my allergies acting up. This goes on slicker than UD but dries faster and my Naked Basics sticks like glue all day. I'm really happy with it and the little wooden cap on the tube is adorable. Thanks again! Love all your videos!
I'm so glad to hear you're having success with the RapidLash. For sure I'll be getting it. Great job on the liquid eyeliner. I, too, will give it a go.
HI Angie, I've been watching your videos since January, and I just love them. I always thought I did a reasonable job on my makeup, however you've taught me to bring it up several notches. When I need a refresher, I pull up one of your posts, such as today, and I'm back on track. Thanks for posting a list of Beauty Bloggers several months ago, that was so gracious and classy of you. You look great, by the way. Thanks and keep the videos coming.
Great tutorial. What I'm learning from this one, and some others, is that I've been using much too dark colors in the crease. When I place it high up on my hood it resulted in a "punched in the eye look" which wasn't flattering. I purchased this palette yesterday and realized just how light these colors are. Thanks!
Great look Angie! I'm also pretty bad when it comes to eyeliner- and the more wrinkles I get, the worse lol. It is always amazing to see your fabulous skin up close. 💞💓💕
Thank you so much for this video!! I am in my mid 40s and this is the FIRST eye shadow palatte I have EVER bought!! I tried to apply it once and it looked horrible! I was thinking of returning it...thinking that I'm just one of those people who CANNOT wear eye shadow!! I am going to give it another try using your technique. Please keep the tutorials coming! You really are the best RU-vidr out there for the 40+ make up lovers! BTW...I'd love to hear/see your take on Illuminating products...creams, powders...I see them EVERYWHERE but am not sure if a mature woman can wear them. - Michelle
Ah! Perfect timing! I purchased Naked Basics 2 from Ulta a week or so ago and just last night was thinking of passing it on. It didn't so anything for me and the fall-out is just crazy!!! But, after watching your video I thought I'll give it ago I like what you did with the use of the eye liners - It adds pop! (nice job on the liquid eye liner - i'm horrible with mine!) :) I think for me.. it's just too light. I'm at work right now and just looked at my mirror and under these lovely office lights (gag) it looks pretty bare so I think I'll try using your technique (which I love - use it on the Sonia Kashuk palette! :) ) with the darker shades once more. I really like to try things 3-5 times before I decide to pass it on. Great video as always - and I think I want to try that eye lash stuff - woo hoo!
Your lashes and brows look great. I now will have to buy some. Also loved your eyeshadow look, it really made your lashes stand out. I am using castor oil on my brows and it works great for them. Thanks again for the great tutorial. XXX
Wow, you look so pretty!! I'm so happy you showed us how to use this palette. I need to pull it out and play more. I must say, the Cool Mink really "finishes" it for me. I love that on you!!! Gosh, I feel so bad I haven't been on here to comment more often and watch; Jessica is home and the farm is all coming ripe and trying to get it all done and harvested is a constant thing!! I do love you though and want you to know I'm still here!! Big hug, Susan
Hello Angie! Beautiful Make Up ! I Will do the same tomorrow! I 'm also use Rapid Lash since I see your review on it ! Amazing! I' m very happy with it! Thanks you Angie!!!! Big Hugs! Kisses from France! Xoxo Nathalie
Hi Angie! I have that little Naked Basics palette and I just love it for the neutrals. This eye look is gorgeous on you and your lashes look so long and lush! Have a wonderful Wednesday, my friend! Hugs, Colleen xox :-)
Oh my goodness, I was SO excited to hear you mention your brows! They were a little crazy looking for a while, my friend;) I kept asking myself, "What on earth has Angie done to her brows?" All of us make beauty mistakes, I probably do it daily, but RU-vidrs have hundreds of girlfriends who call them out on it, don't they? On the one hand, it must take a thick skin, on the other hand, the rest of us walk around with our beauty mistakes for who knows how long!~Carla
Hey Angie.......I bought this palette a couple of months ago, and have been playing around with it......but I love your look today. I am going on holidays the end of July, and I don't want to spend extra time applying make-up, so this look will totally word for me. Love the shade and define pencil in Cool Mink, might have to look into that, love this tutorial :)
Would love an in depth review of the rollerball mascara. One coat which gives length without much effort would be great! What I've always been on the search for. Please! Thanks
Hi Angie love your eyeshadow tutorials. Would you be able to mention in future tutorials where you purchase your shadows and brushes. I’ve gone on Sephora and have found some shadows there but the brushes I’m not sure where to look. Thank you DD
I did this eye look as I have this palette but used mac painterly as base and laura mercier carviar stick in grey pearl. Looked really good and was pretty easy. I like the layering of the eyeliners had to sub in It cosmetics grey eyeliner and physicians formula black (that looks grey) for the liquid eyeliner. What do you think of that pur minerals dual ended eyeliner?
I'm a new subscriber and I have to tell you love your videos. I just turned 50 this year! It's nice to know you know how we feel:))) I'm ordering the timeless today. The it blush that you have on is it glowy?
Angie could you please tell me what you are using on your eyebrows to make them grow. I didn't catch it on this video or any other I'm sorry. I to am in my hot and flash years and my eyebrows are a mess. Thank you so much in advance and keep the videos coming I so enjoy the information you give us.
Hi there Miss Angie! I hope that you received my thank you letter for the undereye concealer, it is so useful and works great to make the tan the right color now. Thank you so much, I really appreciate you doing that for me. You look so incredibly young, I am always amazed every time I start to play another video of yours, I find myself staring at you with my mouth gaping open, and I have to go back to see what you said! Remember in your older videos, when you used to say that you had under eye bags, and you would apply something along the edge of the shadow that the bag created, in order to disguise it? Well now, your under eye bags are totally gone, there is nothing but smooth skin there, and how I wish my under eye bags would go away too! So I am trying to do something about that, but topicals don't work. I went off the retin-a, I was getting dry looking cross hatch wrinkles on my cheeks, and they mostly went away after I stopped. I got retin-a micro from a Canadian pharmacy, 45 grams for 90 dollars, and it is much less irritating and it is time released. I will start soon. I just would like to know if the retin-a is what caused those under eye bags to go away and the skin to tighten up. I think I remember once you said that botox was not an option under your eyes, right? I hope the retin-a got rid of them, so that I can have some hope. Thank you, Angie!
Ruth Ann Castillo Hi Ruth~ Yes, I did get your email and I'm so glad you got the concealer so fast and it's solved your shade problem! You're so sweet, thanks for the compliment on my eye bags, but I don't think there's a big change in them... They seem to vary depending on how well I sleep the night before. I agree with you that topicals don't work on eye bags, but I have been putting the tretinoin on them for about 9 months so maybe it is the retin-a? So hard to say. Botox isn't an option for under the eyes, just the crow's feet, but people do get fillers under the eyes in the tear trough and that helps to disguise the bags. Let me know how it goes with the retin-a micro. xo ~angie
You look amazing! Do you have an updated skin routine? Wondering if you've ever used the DermaWand. I hear so many positives about it and also so many negatives..
Good morning... Does the double ego transfer onto your lid? I have tried high end low end and everything in between. They alllllll seen to transfer... I am now in my 40's and consider myself still youngish looking😄 the eyeliner transfer drives me crazy. I do like gel, liquid and pencils... Do you have any suggestions??? Help😄😄😄
cathhep1 I don't have any problem with the Double Ego transferring. If everything transfers I wonder if you wear any eye shadow or primer? The eyelids tend to be oily so even if you don't wear eyeshadow you should try an eyelid primer. It smoothes the eye lids and keeps them more matte. Try the one I use in this video, Tarte Clean Slate 360 Smoothing Primer.
cathhep1I have the same problem but have found that setting my eyeliner (any kind) with powder has solved the problem. It makes it look lighter at first, but when the powder transfers to my eyelid, it looks fine again. I take a small angled brush and dip it in loose powder and tap it over my liner. I know the frustration!!
Thanks Angie & All! Yes, I re watched the tutorial & heard the Rapidlash quite clearly. My bad. Found the review too & heading out to get it later. Thanks!!
***** I was pretty disappointed with that aspect of it because the original Naked Basics doesn't have any fallout, but, for me it was still worth the money because I use it almost daily… $29 for 6 great shadows vs buying them individually is still a good buy and most of the other palettes are more in the $45 range.
I don't like Urban Decay. I've always had fallout with all their shadows. So $29 when the majority floats in the air, or lands on my cheek is simply a waste of money. However, any of Tarte's palettes are beautiful. The last one has 12 shadows for something like $32-$36. The one before had 6 shadows I believe, 2 eyeliners and a blush! All for $30 some odd dollars. And, the best part, no fall out! Just my opinion.....
Hallo Angie , very pretty tutorial, thank you !! I just bought the TARTLETTE palette from Tarte - can you make a tutorial with it? that would we wonderful, best wishes and a big smile from germany!
I was seeing older videos from you and I saw that you were very different...Botox and fillers make such a difference, you look so much younger now...I think retinol results are really minimal, if any....Maybe more in a preventive way like glycolic and vitamine c. Love the natural makeup!
caty2ful Her fillers are gone and she does not use retinol, at least on her face. You are correct retinols provide minimal results. However, RetinA is a miracle worker. If you catch up on the videos you'll understand.
Lisa Lisa65 I´m sorry but you don´t have this results with Retin-A...and I know that because I use it...Of course she has fillers and botox...just see her oldest videos where she has wrinkles between her eyebrows and now she can´t even move between them...I think she´s great and very beautiful! But you only have this results with fillers, unfortunately. The only bad thing it´s that´s expensive. When I said retinol I meant Retin-a...
I really respect your channel but when it comes to eye tutorials it looks like you have no shadow on at all.Perhaps its your camera ,I don't know. I guess some ladies like the no makeup ,makeup look :) If I wear a shadow I want it to be noticeable.
