Very interesting that the days of the week are named after the planets. And sometimes people are named after the day they were born eg. Pasang or Thursday or phurba or Friday. And most twins are named sun and moon or nima and dawa which are also the names for Saturday and Sunday.
Most sources I found state that the months names begin with "chee da" instead of "dawa" in dzongkha. What's exactly the difference between these two? Thanks for you videos, it's hard to find good material for dzongkha :)

I hope to travel to Bhutan soon for a conference in Thimphu. I want to wear the gho. I would wear it with respect. How would that be viewed? Hi John, it would definitely be appreciated. Many foreigner that visit bhutan try out our national dress. Although i must warn you, the kera or belt can be a bit uncomfortable for first timers. Just don't tie it too tight. Hope you enjoy your trip

Actually..... every month has its own name. Just like January and February. 1st months is called Chu Dawa, 2nd month Wo Dawa, Nagpa Dawa 3rd month and Saga Dawa 4th Moth. Please correct your video
