We are finally in Namibia! The first time clearing customs with your own aircraft can be daunting but this was such a seamless process. Huge thank you to the Upington and Keetmanshoop customs officers for all the help.
After arriving into Keetmanshoop, you could tell that this airport was drastically affected by Covid. With the charter and airlines no longer visiting here, it has fallen into decay. We explore the airport a little more on the way back so stay tuned for that episode.
We saw a volcano! It may not have been active but certainly something you don't see everyday. After doing some research, we realised the official name for this land feature is a Caldera, basically a collapsed volcano when tectonic plates shift apart from each other.
Stay tuned for the next episode where we may or may not have got into trouble with Namibian Air Traffic controllers whilst flying into Windhoek.
HUGE THANK YOU, once again to the companies that helped make this trip possible. Please see their links below.
