Namibia is a fantastic destination and can be easily travelled with a normal rental car (a 4x4 SUV is not necessary). I made this trip over Christmas-New Year 2015/2016 and my son joined me two days later. It's hardly possible to make a trip like this with an electric vehicle at the moment (at best, partial routes).
