Namika was the first German artist I discovered recently while beginning to learn German. I started listening for the rhythm and sound, but became so enamoured of the absolute poetry she creates. So much love for the depth of thought that goes into her lyricism. Always blown away every time I translate.

Namika is Moroccan but grew up in Germany, you can listen to her song Nador, the name of the song is exactly the name of the Moroccan city where she is from.

Why is her walk so hypnotizing? It's so satisfying to watch it go along with the beat. My favourite scene is the end of the video when she's with all these little kids and she's holding their hands. I love it so much

Krasses Video und krasses Lieder. Ich finde es immer wieder erstaunlich wie du so heftige ehrliche Texte schreibst, ob Liebe oder indirekt Politik. Respekt immer wieder.
