This drama put me in an "emotional state"! Finished watching last Saturday November 27th, but I'm still full of it. The young Main Leads and the adults Main Leads have nailed their roles. I really hate Yae Noguchi's mother. She twisted their future. It was hard for me to watch Harumichi trying to move on with his life, but at the same time still looking for Yae everywhere. Both never fully enjoyed themselves after the split, but were trying to survive. . A line I will never forget from this drama "Like mascara, fate changes with just a little nudge!".

I get why you feel that about the mum, but at the same time, for someone who has lost their memory it's so hard to force feelings. Yae couldn't even interact properly with her best friend. Imagine how weird it would be knowing you have a bf who is madly in love with you and you know nothing about them. I'm glad the story went that way because it shows their love was so strong and they were really meant for each other so much that they found their way back to each other in the future!

@@princessyona thanks for your opinion, but i don't think like you. Because I truly believe that she would have returned her memory sooner with Harumichi's support and love. Her life had never been easy and happy after the break-up.

@@MariAruba The premise is very similar to The 8 Year Engagement tbh. That movie is also good AND its based on a real couple in Japan. And Takeru's performance was better in the movie than in this series. Watch The 8 Year Engagement too. I highly recommend it.

Don't know why but j dramas have such a soothing ,comforting and dreamy feel.. Maybe it's because of the Japanese language but nothing compares to the j drama atmosphere

I love this series. I especially like the vintage shop with the never ending story, David Bowie. It's great to see young people who are interested in all genres from different years. This is beautifully simplistic. It's not over the top. It's refreshing to see something different to the generic romance movies out now. I'll definitely be watching this is second time. Great actors and storyline. One of the more original stories I have seen in a long time. I can't believe I just loved watching this love story. Well done. Greetings from the Republic of Ireland.

ending when yae says to harumichi that you are my first love, i think if he reacts more emotionally would be more reasonable. cause that's such a great surprise and relief to him.

Well they are adults,not fucking kids anymore that's why even yae didn't over react like a teenage girl since she also married another man .for example imagine a grown women crying like a teenager after she met her first love not happening ,this is the most realistic way .if you think otherwise then you are just delusionally living in fantasy world.

I was expecting a dramatic and emotional reaction and BGM kind of like in the 1999 movie 'The English Patient' when Kristin Scott's character tells Ralph Fiennes' character, "I've always loved you." It was a bit underwhelming considering he longed for her and waited for her memory to come back, nevertheless it was a great drama.

Takeru is already guilty for hurting his GF. Also, it was adult Yae who confessed not his first love. All he wanted was her memories to comeback but he can't forced either due to health reasons. It wasn't easy for him to moved on knowing his first love gf don't remember him. Most probably for such reasons the writer sent Takeru to another country cuz even in reality human tries to changed the cities or country to get through such pain.
