Joonie is the Maknae of the Hyung line. Namjoon has stated that he is most comfortable in interviews when he has Jin sitting next to him. Jin is the one who will make a joke or something to break the ice with new people. This is amazing when you realize that Jin is an introvert, but he takes his hyung role very serious. He wants to put the others at ease when they have to make a public appearance or do an interview. I love him for that. He is simply an amazing human being.
i once saw someone say something like "namjoon keeps bts professional while jin keeps them functional", which i think is the absolute perfect description of their relationship standing within their group.

Actually Jin is like the comfort place for all 6 of them, even Namjoon said when he is traveling internationally and has interviews or nerve wrecking moments he wants Jin by his side. It helps him stay calm he relies on Jin.
There's a quiet stability to their relationship that I think is the foundation of BTS functioning the way it does. Jin cares for everyone in their day-to-day lives as the eldest and Namjoon allows him the space to do that without trying to step on his toes. It also gives him the space to rest and just be one of the guys since he doesn't have to be responsible for them as much or feel the pressure of the leader role. Namjoon cares for everyone when it comes to work related things (which still takes up a lot of their lives so it can become tiring for him over time). Jin generally leave him to do that and steps down so he won't step on Namjoon's toes when it's his time to take the lead. Figuring out the perfect way to handle that push and pull of responsibility seems to have really helped them to settle into this nice, quiet dynamic where they love and respect each other while also understanding that they need to work together to take care of their little found family. They're such a sweet pairing. Jin seems to really value his role in Namjooon's life as one of the main persons who can take the burden off of his shoulders when things get tough.

theyre so kind to each other and so stable. joonie has mentioned before that at first he never understood why jin was so unmotivated and chill when joonie used to be burning up with ambition, but that because of jin he learned how to be more calm and relax and take life slowly. i think joon has an incredible amount or respect for jins stability and calm, while jin has an incredible amount of respect for joons leadership and vision and music. and theyre really never opposing. so people may not notice their dynamic much because its not as loud as the others, but once you notice you cant help but fall for their softness and warmth that they only have around each other. im so glad they have each other in the group to help shoulder the responsibilities and motivate each other. also! fun fact! jin and joonies parents are besties with each other!!! they hang out a lot on their own too. hence the talk about meeting up with the families
Jin is such a lovely person with so much talent yet humbleness and down to earth vibes and namjoon is the same so their bond is very clear cut and respectful and fun, ugh I miss Jin so much

Hyung line never fights... Age wise Jin is the oldest the suga, jhope, rm, jimin, v & jk... RM is actually the youngest among 4 hyung line members... Other than being a leader Jin is someone rm can rely on in normal life..

I like Jin and RM dynamic too, so mature, fun, i don't know how to explain it well, its so interesting. Both understand each other so much too and we can see they both really learn of each other and make their relationship keep better, thats so healthy and so much fun too.
Jin and RM seem to keep any serious disagreements off camera but I think that they are good communicators so that issues are not allowed to become problems. Obviously they play fight a lot. Especially Jin when he rap argues.
They certainly do fight 🤣 We even got to see a small spat in one of the later 'run' eps. The camera caught partand the editing team left it in. They also included the maknaes (or maybe just Jimin, can't remember) talking about it and both of them talking in the car afterwards. It was cute and just like any other brothers/lovers/close friends, quickly came and quickly went.
Namjin can be chaotic too. Namjoon actually becomes very crazy and clingy with Jin. You have to see suga and jin dynamic.they are almost same age. They are roomates and soulmates duo . Also please checkout taejin, they actually very wild.
Jin's dad and Namjoon's dad are actually best friends. When BTS did bang bang con in 2020 both of their families gathered and watched it together. Plus the red cap RM wore in Love Yourself Speak Yourself tour now belongs to Jin's dad because he liked it so RM gave it to him.
You have to watch videos of namjoon being the maknae of the hyungs you will see a different side of their relationship. It’s still very adorable but to really see the big brother/ little brother side of the jin/joon relationship
Fun fact RM and Jin fathers are friends they talked about this on a live that their fathers knew one another back in the day. In the earlier days when they had interviews in English, Jin would try to help since after RM, Jin can speak a fair amount of English. Jin has always been a good support system for RM. A trio to react to is the Kim line (RM, Jin and Taeyung). They're so funny together.
RM has an IQ of 148 whereas Jin's says his is under 120. RM found Jin difficult to understand but eventually he came to understand Jin's outlook on life. JIn is a simple person who never looks back but he went to a good university and is more intelligent than he makes out. What Jin said about making himself happy by making others happy was reiterated on stage by RM because it is such a good premise to live by. Jin is a helpful oldest hyung who doesn't throw his weight around. He's actually the youngest in his family and his mum thought she couldn't talk about him to her friends but it turned out that she had a son who is a special gem. Jin is shorter than RM by two centimetres. RM is 181cm. Jin works out but keeps his body covered whereas RM will show his muscles a bit. Jin does silly things to make himself laugh like doing a handstand in the shower. He has an unending supply of dad jokes. He designed those blue pyjamas he's wearing. Namjoon is clever and thoughtful. He loves art and reading. Being a leader isn't easy and just not something Jin is suited for. He hardly ever uses his hyung card. He is certainly acts the older brother when it comes to the kitchen where RM is an absolute liability.
Jin has shown his leadership qualities in the military and has at times taken on that role when Namjoon has been sick, leading the chant and being the spokesman. He is also the one that instigates most of the groups V lives. He is a silent leader, just like Yoongi and Hoseok. Because Namjoon was chosen as the leader in the first place, Jin, Yoongi and Hoseok have never questioned it and hold a high regard for Namjoon, but have also eased his burden along the way.

If you think namjin never fight or bicker, boy you're going to face a lot of plot twists! 😅 Yes, namjin respect and admire each other.. but the fact that they are each other's comfort zone (even before debut, where they had coffee dates to discuss the 'kids') also means they are more honest with each other and bicker a lot! Also its not just their roles as the eldest and the leader that draws them close. If you pay attention to each of Bangtan's personalities, you'll discover that namjin has similar sense of humour, eloquence, wit, and even moral values! They have lots of inside jokes and shared inner thoughts together! Some of Joon's lyrics and speech have even been inspired by Jin's thoughts! If anything, these two are like a beautiful old (healthy) married couple 😂
RM is that way with all three of the oldest, their dynamic is different. It’s a joy to watch because they all respect each other. I think it speaks loudly how the three oldest refer and respect RM as the leader, and actually let him lead. Then RM understands and is careful not to give off this, I’m the leader and you do what I say vibe. They Hyungs step back during professional moments, or in the business part of BTS, then RM becomes the little brother just like Jimin, V, and Jungkook.💜
This was at a luau when they were on a trip to Hawaii (Bon Voyage). Announcement called for anyone celebrating an anniversary but I think RM didn’t hear wedding so he stood up so Jin stood up as well 💜💜

RM did hear them say wedding. If you watch the episode Hobi asked him why was he standing up and RM told him they said wedding anniversary and Hobi laughed and told him to sit down. So RM was just doing it to be funny and then Jin was doing it to be funny too
Namjin is literally the parents of BTS and they are both known as an old married couple.. Jin is described as the wife who will nags a lot at her husband, which is cute.. 🤭
