It's impressive that they pulled it off, but I don't really see how much sense a console would make for Atmos. 🤷‍♂

@@error8418 it’s actually more common than you might think. When a studio doesn’t know what it should do with its money, they come to Neve. For example, synchron Stage Vienna (they record many big soundtracks, check them out) uses a custom analog Dolby Atmos board, also e.g. blackbird studios or abbey road suite 5

Modern Neve just doesn’t sound like what old school Neve gear sounded like. When Neve got sold to AMS or whatever, the new products lost what was good about how Neve sounded. They’re very pokey / midrangey now.

BAE makes an 8 slot power / 1272amp'd Summing box for the 1073/1084 cards you could run across the GRP inserts for an alt 2bus. 🤓

Hi I don’t know what you’ve been listening to, but I do not agree, frankly they sound fabulous, and the workflow for out of the box integration with pro tools is good. Cheers 🥂

@@jupiternteardrop237 got a brand new 1073 from AMS NEVE to track vocals with. It was back in the box and returned within a week. BAE 1073 replaced it straight away. You’re just paying for the name at this point. Very mid rangey and pokey sounding. Nothing like the same internal components as before the sale to AMS.
