@@davidhatcher7016 It is the power of Sunshine. It was originally a power meant for the Archangel Mael, but Mael got turned into a demon and lost the power. Escanor inherited it at birth and awakened it when he was young, and he became the single most powerful being in the 7DS universe with it, even stronger than Mael himself.

In the original mythos, escanor was actually a giant and Rhita was his wife. No I don't remember who it was exactly, but their child was one of the members of the knights of the Round table.
