The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Fun routine with Nancy performing the title song from the comedy film starring Marrtin & Rossi -- that's Marty Allen at the end. Also, the comic book sound effect cards were a fun nod toward the then-popular _Batman_ TV series.

Incredible! One of the most highly anticipated & fun videos in the Ed Sullivan archives. As I mentioned in Nancy's other performance from this show, Nancy & Ed were both in the film this song is from. And how cool was it to see the primary star of the film (Marty Allen) appear at the end! Bravo Ed Sullivan channel!!!

This episode featured a look at the premiere of "Last of the Secret Agents" which apparently was a film starring the comedy team of Marty Allen and Steve Rossi (they did a routine on this show and that was Allen doing a cameo at the end of the song). This must have been the theme song for the film. This was the same show on which Nancy sang "Let It Be Me" posted earlier. Also featured on this show was Mrs. Miller, known for her novelty off-key recordings of contemporary hits, singing "These Boots are Made for Walking", "A Lover's Concerto", "A Hard Day's Night" and "Downtown".

Well done, Michelene! Perhaps it wasn't Steve you were singing about after all, it may have been Marty all along. The Good Guys International group surely would have been interested in getting that Statue of Liberty back, and placing it back down there in Manhattan. It's a shame Nancy and Johnny Rivers are not in the Rock Hall. Debbie Harry and Madonna were clearly influenced by Ms Sinatra in both style and in appearance.

Nancy is beautiful and stylish as ever, although this is certainly not one of her best songs. I must admit I'd never heard of the movie 'Last Of The Secret Agents?' before. I guess it may be similar to the 1965 British espionage spoof 'The Intelligence Men', starring the two comedians Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise (Morecambe & Wise).

Used to see "LOTSA" on the CBS Late Movie and it was not bad: the song was the best part of it. Those 2 nutty dudes did make Inspector Clouseau look like James Bond. RIP Gentlemen.

No, that's not really fair - this particular song has kind of a "Boots made for walkin" kind of feel to it that's true but her other songs such as "You Only Live Twice", "Summer Wine" and "Something Stupid" don't sound alike at all -
