[Stereo] One golden oldie, and one recent composition are performed by Ms. Sinatra and her supporting band. A short interview occurs between songs on this USTV program.
Nancy Sinatra in 1995 at 54 years-old still looked fantastically beautiful! She looked better at 54 years-old than many women do at that age and better than some younger women do when those women are in their 20's and 30's !
@@James-h8g7xdid you even pay attention to the interview she had with Jay Leno in this clip? She says herself she is 54 years old. The other guy was right.
it's kind of crazy to think about time. This was performance was about 30 years after the song was originally released. But now in 2020, it has been about 25 years since this performance. I feel like this performance happened so much longer after the song was originally released.
Its explainable because at the end of the 90s decade distinctions began to disintegrate. Look into Mark Fishers lecture The Slow Cancellation of The Future for a better explanation
Spectacular classic hit! Very tasty guitar solo, and the quick bass solo transitioned artfully into the iconic signature bass riff near the end. The original video of this song when Nancy was young is pure magic.
Best live version of this I have ever heard. She had the attitude and the moves and the band was fantastic! Vicki Randle slayed that guitar solo and the bass player was smooth as glass. 🔥
She sounded great, was so gorgeous. That band brought a killer guitar player and bass player. Carol Kay’s original bass lick was just iconic and this guy kicked it and then some.
Although Carol Kaye played electric bass as part of The Wrecking Crew on many of Nancy’s recordings, she did not play on “Boots.” The upright bass on the song was played by Chuck Berghofer, and there’s no electric bass. Nevertheless, as you know, Carol Kaye played electric bass on so many of the greatest pop songs ever - including “Good Vibrations” and the “Pet Sounds” album.
@@raypendro3243 Au contraire Ray. The "dom, dom, dom, dom", you can hear after the descending part on upright, and the "dom...domdom, dom...domdom" throughout the song, is Carol. Listen hard and you'll hear her pick clicking on the strings...
@@ToddBrittain1963 The credits on the album do not say that, and Nancy’s own comments on the album notes contradict your reply. I think it’s an urban myth. Nancy Sinatra, “Start Walkin’ 1965-1976” (2021) and “Boots” reissue (2021).
Pretty cool stuff. That’s when late night was real late night. Can’t watch it anymore. It’s that bad. Miss Sinatra thank you for that classic. Still a beautiful woman.
64 yrs old here.and in the 60's ,and 70's NANCY was one of them.U would go in neighbors home, and one of her albums one be there. But not a knock,Blondie sounds like Nancy 2 Me.
This was just so awesome still ! This song and her performance of it never gets old to watch and still love no matter how many years go by! This song and Nancy, both are still As cool as ever !! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and at 54 then still looking so gorgeous and sexy , with her beautiful thick healthy looking hair as always. WOW 😍
@@patriciafigueroa1192 She looks pretty good to me - I just can't believe that it's been this long since I've seen this particular performance on Jay Leno - the last 20 years it seems have just whizzed by
HaHa! I remember seeing her on Ed Sullivan as a very little girl! I thought she was so cute.... Nice that she did the song again...it was fun to watch.
I still like her and that wonderful time in some of our lives. And may I say I don't care how old we get a nice song always help. It may not be the same type of background song, it always nice to hear it...even if it is just sitting in a chair and bring back those memories.
Nancy was a doll back then. She was very brave to do the things that were still taboo . But plastic surgery, I almost don't recognise her. Frank was so supportive

I think she looks and sounds great, Nancy was 54 years old here! Nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery if it is done properly , lip enhancement a bit over the top otherwise very well done. @@vracan WAY MORE CLASS, SOPHISTICATION ETC. YOU get my point. Not anything even nearly compared. Won't even justify it with saying her name. Must be someone real young, doesn't know who Nancy Sinatra's daddy is Frank Sinatra, that made that comment. But love me some Kurt Cobain!!! Too bad she got a hold of him. He was a calm, kind soul. In my opinion he would of never taken himself out so violently. Yes I've been here to enjoy Kurt, Frank's music. Very different music but loved both men & their music.❤ And enjoyed Nancy Sinatra too❤
Great performance with confidence and sliding straight into the interview with style. Never thought of this song as a "femi" song but there are kicks in that way too - good stuff which I need to loop to my teenage daughter. 1966 ladies and gentlemen. Bravo!
Almost 30 years later and she can still belt this tune out. And based on the snippets of playboy that Jay was able to show she definitely is looking good for being in her mid 50's. Shoot when I was her age I had already gone through a quintuple bypass surgery so she was doing pretty good for her age when this video came out.
Been a long time; gave up my stylish shoe wear for hiking, climbing boots; depending on the weather, or sports, spikes, clamps, fastenings, velcro, ankle specs; depending on ascent or free form. HER with her shameless addiction to showing off ain’t got nothin on this female guitar player . Same with that lady who played for Natalie merchant and princes guitarist too. Her needs to move over and let these ladies show her what she don’t know know(girl guitar player here and I know talent lol)
