Nice video. How did you change the descriptors and colors in the OSD?

Thanks! The font files are just a really long .png I used photoshop to edit the characters I wanted to modify.

Actually, virtual Pitot and wind speed is in INAV for a few years already. But it never worked well enough. Just with INAV 6, the new AHRS and I think even a fix in 6.1 it is now actually precise and usable. Fantastic feature imho and very precise as long as its not too gusty (as it updates much slower than a pitot tube could). You should try the new Autoland as well. Myself and a very skilled programmer worked on that for over half a year.

That's why I said I missed the memo! I had no idea it had been around a while. This feature is FANTASTIC! Well done. I posted this in the discord, but didn't get any traction. How could I change the OSD to say "Cruise" instead of "Cruz" I could compile it myself as it might not be a feature everyone wants.

@@RickyGode the flight mode field in the OSD is by design limited to 4 letters to save space. That also leads to the famous CRSH mode (coursehold). I am pretty sure this will not change to save OSD space.

"You should try the new Autoland as well. Myself and a very skilled programmer worked on that for over half a year." I'm on the fence about this one! I just finished a T1 Ranger, and it flys FANTASTIC so far with just the default settings. I've watched some videos where the auto land worked great! I guess I'm just a chicken.

Excellent video Ricky! Really like the virtual pitot. I stalled my ar pro once (too close to the ground) and probably would not have with virtual air speed. I always enable the wind speed in the osd, and it seems to track well. virtual airspeed would be a cinch to calculate based on wind direction, speed, and ground speed, so it makes sense that they can have that!!!!

Thanks! I can't believe how well it worked!

awesome. recently my first time flying my T1 I lost control and it crashed. it was too close to ground couldn't save it. I think it stalled. one aileron control horn snapped, left side wood mounting strip unglued and battery tray snapped because I believe it hit the ground very hard but on it's belly so nothing else broke. I didn't know where the plane was but found it using my directional TX antenna to find which direction I need to go because it still had intermittent connection. when I found the plane both wings were popped out and both hatches were laying on the ground nearby. can you make airspeed element blink under certain threshold to warn of imminent stall?

I don't think the virtual pitot tube updates fast enough to give ample warning for an impending stall. During my stall tests with the T1 it seemed to fly pretty slow, and didn't drop a wing in a stall.
