I love those Reefdudes lightshapers - I used them on my fuge light to keep my skimmer from growing algae in it.

I like it with the hood.

This seems like a simple plywood frame, how did you connect them, did you dovetail this in? Also, do you think that pocket screws would be enough to hold the tank?

It is an awesome product - but its really to fix bad design - like these LEDS are designed for outside of the canopy - and very few lights actually are designed to minimise that glare (there is Red Sea and Maxpect that I know of). I want to also be able to see the top down in my tanks and for my next build - how I minimise that is weighing on my mind because I want to have the lights a fair bit off the water. Just a lip around the edge of the light would help - even if its an add on. Every manufacturer should do it.
