Amazing build. Not only did you get it this small, you also managed to cram in 2 decor tiles to make it look nicer. Appreciated :D I think the bead pump chamber part is my favourite (in teerms of function)
Thank you for the release. This fits just right on my current mini base (90x70) map. I made a modification, the methane liquid values are set to 670g so the counterflow is continuous. Although that might be too efficient as the tuner now has an uptime of almost 100% because the temperature in the boiler room is not hot enough (runs cold).
thats actually pretty awesome thats 18.000w with the engie tune power station thing most bases can't even reach 18.000w comsumption and all of that in that small space? really awesome indeed
We prefer to paint "vacuum" as painting void holds nothing in the tile. We just tested it with a column of water above it and the void tile stays void whereas a vacuum tile will refill with water. Thanks for the tip though!
i might spend some thermium building a sour gas system, but i won't waste super coolant on a single kg/s unit. to me thermo regulators can serve the liquid methane cooler for small units. i would use it for a 2 or more kg/s unit.
This is a really cool boiler, but you didn't explain how to make those brine ice blocks, and I didn't find them elsewhere either. So I replaced them with aluminum tiles, then had to replace the hydro sensor with another insulated tile and move the hydro sensor to the right of the pump. Ended up with a slightly wider boiler, but otherwise, this works great. Thanks!
@@olivier3162 I tried, but it just started freezing into ice pieces and sinking to the bottom of the supercoolant underneath, was that expected behavior?
Thanks for your question. The boys in R&D looked at making a volcano-powered sour gas boiler, we just found we couldn't create a good product with it. We tried making one without space material and the volcano heat source would be the easy part and getting the methane down to -183C without super coolant is the hard part. It's just too cumbersome.
It is much more challenging to do without supercoolant. You have to use thermo-regulators with hydrogen to liquify some methane or oxygen and then use that in the aquatuner. Without supercoolant I don't think the the nanoBoiler would be even viable, but the jBoiler might be.
